China was along with Russia were two major players in the outbreak of World War III and between the two large nations a good deal of Black Technology survived and was being reproduced along the border of the two nations. The 2nd Renaissance hit the nation in its southern regions first while Black Technology, with aid of Russia now known as Eurasia, began to pour across the northern regions of China. Eventually China was split between north and south because Alchemy and Black Technology don't mix. As result China was split between a Eurasia back North and an Alchemy using south backed by other Alchemy using nations.
The Resurgence divided the nation a little more, as the Supernatural entities in China at first appeared all over but became concentrated in the Southeast region. In the Southwest there was apprehension regarding the Supernatural mainly because of things like Supernatural creature attacks. Only the Southeast came to accept the Supernatural, though there are Supernatural entities in the other territories. This placed the nation in a three way deadlock with China becoming an area of increasing tension as more foregin powers take interest in the nation for one reason or another. Some see it as a small model of the world to figure out what will eventually dominate and whether coexistence is truly possible, or to see something no one may have thought of.
The North had taken to the use of technology and science from the Pre World War III era, initially some of this Black Technology survived the war and when compiled with Eurasia's surviving Black Technology both nations gained the ability to produce more black technology and use more science of the previous age. This spread like a wave down from the Eurasian and Chinese border strip throughout the North around the same time as the Second Renaissance. Eventually the North fell under the control of a Eurasian backed Regime which only allowed the use of Black Technology therefore zealously rejecting Alchemy and the Supernatural. Androids and cyborgs are common in the Northern region of China.
The Alchemy using portion of the nation that became a little less welcoming of the Supernatural than the Southeast. There was too much apprehension towards these unknown entities, even with the use of Alchemy humans weren't too keen on living aside Supernaturals. Basically the Southwest are Hardline conservatives and though the border between the Southwest and Southeast moves towards the West it does so at an extremely slow pace as people come around to a new way of thinking. The Alchemists of the Southwest however vehemently oppose the North and everything they stand for believing their use of Black Technology only further threatens the survival of their nation.
The Southeast in the current Supernatural core of China, where Supernatural beings live alongside humans and Alchemists. Not all Supernatural beings in China are in the Southeast but the majority of them have gathered here. Many humans including Alchemists have used this to their advantage forming partnerships, contracts, and learning supernatural arts such as Chi manipulation. The Southeast has missionaries who go to the Western border and do their best to convert entries towns and villages to believing in integrated coexistence with the supernaturals which moves the border of the Southeast West little by little.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...

Dream: Not sure if I should be donning the nostalgia goggles or not giving a damn. Looks like the original Digimon Adventure series is getting a reboot airing starting in the Spring season.
Jan 21, 2020 3:21:13 GMT
Taka: I'll watch it if there's nothing catching my eye in Spring. winter 2020 was a weak anime season for me.

Dream: Wouldn't say it's all bad for me. Have a few titles holding my interest. Just it typically doesn't have as many major titles of note that would hold me over.
