Okay, I've wanted to say this since the first episode, and now I will. While todays episode was alright, Asta is exactly what makes me dislike Naruto(the character). Goodness, this guy is annoying! He pretty much only shouts! Like dude, there are other ways to communicate with people. Such as talking normally and only shout every once in a while. I'm gonna give it a couple more episodes, but if doesn't get better, I'm dropping this. It's a shame that I have to say this, because this show was the one I was looking forward to the most this season, but it really has disappointed me so far.
Caulifla is the best thing to happen to Dragon Ball. Ever.
shadowforce14 Actually the manga is better than the anime. No crappy CGI effects (looking at you episode 1&2 with your crappy magic animation!), a much better pacing (because those 4 episodes didn't even cover the first 2 chapters entirely) and actually Asta's shouting is more decently done in the manga (also because there's no sound and the textboxes differentiate between talking loud and actual shouting).
So yeah i'd give it a try, though beware it has some of the Naruto vibes.
El_Directo Actually the voice actor of Asta in the anime is pretty much new, having no previous characters that he has voiced. So no it isn't the voice actor. I think it might be due to the constant screaming though. Natsu did also scream quite a bit in the anime.
Taka No problem. I am up-to-date with the manga, which helps a bit with giving advice. Series full of typical shonen tropes, but still done right in the manga.
shadowforce14 No problem. If you're ever looking for another kind of series you want to try, feel free to ask me for any that might fit into the trope you want. While i haven't watched an extreme amount of anime, i've watched a bit.
I am late but caught up to 5 now. The flashback at the front of the show seems cost savings more than story motivation. Its not bad but I have seen others that were fans of the manga disappointed.
For what it is for me atm is familiar. I can see why it draws parallels to Fairy Tail or Naruto. I can see some of Seven deadly Sins as well. Lot of shonen grit tho which is a good thing.
Worth watching so far for me at least.
As one of the people who enjoy the manga, I have to say the pacing of the first 3 episodes was bad, It went against the style of the author, who keeps a very brisk pacing in his mangas. The art is not as good as the one in the manga sadly, I guess Tabata's style is hard to copy.
But if it keeps the pacing of the last two episodes, I'll be happy.
Looks like the rumors of 51 episodes now seems to be true after ANN reports about the DVD/BD side
The official website for the Black Clover television anime series is listing the anime's five Blu-ray Disc and DVD box set releases with a total of 51 episodes, with 9-12 episodes per set.
The sets also list that the anime will have four cours, and list four creditless opening and ending videos as bonus extras. The sets each list a "Black Clover Special Volume" bonus video extra, but don't state if the videos will be animated videos.
The first set will ship on February 23 and will retail for 17,000 yen (about US$149) for the Blu-ray Disc set and 15,000 yen (about US$131) for the DVD set. The other four box set releases, listed as "Chapter II" through "Chapter V," will ship on May 25, July 27, October 26, and January 25, 2019. The first 2018 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on December 4 will reveal the extras that will come with the first edition of the first box set.
An episode dedicated to Noelle with her inability to control her power and she is the pariah in her family, blame to killing her mother during her birth. Drama is pretty balanced and not over the top. It feels weird to say this but I hope it doesn't go to romance as the ending bonus segment has Asta misreading her words as family. I doubt it since Asta has the nun in his heart.
Dream: Will post a little later what the next voted anime will be that I will watch and review.

Dream: Next anime up to cover will be Dance in the Vampire Bund. Suppose a short anime will do for now following Chobits.

Dream: Concluding things at episode 2 with Vampire Bund for the night. Hoping to get back to Basquatch tomorrow, as long as I'm not swamped with anything.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...

Dream: Not sure if I should be donning the nostalgia goggles or not giving a damn. Looks like the original Digimon Adventure series is getting a reboot airing starting in the Spring season.

Taka: I'll watch it if there's nothing catching my eye in Spring. winter 2020 was a weak anime season for me.

Dream: Wouldn't say it's all bad for me. Have a few titles holding my interest. Just it typically doesn't have as many major titles of note that would hold me over.

Dream: Done with Vampire Bund. Will be working on a review of it before I hop into the next Funi series. Hoping to get it up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how lengthy my thoughts get.
