Info on the 2nd cour - new visual, new theme songs
The official Twitter account for the Sword Art Online anime franchise began streaming a promotional video on Sunday for the Sword Art Online: Alicization television anime series. The video previews ASCA's opening theme song "Resister," which will premiere in the show on January 12. ReoNa will perform the new ending theme song "Forget-me-not."
It is going to be a tower type of level Kirito 's sword is supposed to be based on a tree while Eugeo is based on the blue r ose which gives him ice powers
Weird for Eugeo to go angry after finding out the flame bow guy is the man who took Alice. Granted I see the justification. He is not a malicious guy compared to the two nobles who attempted to rape their disciples.
after Fanatio is defeated by Kirito's vine sword looking beam technique, he wasted his tiny dagger ( he has two of them) on her. The plan was using them on Alice and the Administrator.
Then we get to the main spectacle of the episode which I didn't expect to see Alice so early. Thought we had a few more battles to the topone
The battle was beautifully animated
It was seeing colors and themes clash Alice's gold Eugeo's ice blue Kirito's purple black
Talking and exposition was kept to a minimal
Alice even wanted more time to soak in more sunrays
Haven't seen anyone that has a sword ability similar to Byakuya Kuchiki of Bleach with his Senbon Sakura Kageyoshi. I wished it was good leaves as her tree isn't like the cherry blossom trees that are made of primarily flowers.
While Kirito's sword is a branch from the demon tree and Eugeo's sword is an ice rose, Alice's sword is a whole rain tree, a very old tree.
The battle was interrupted. I have no idea what caused the wall of the tower break with Alice and Kirito falling outside. Poor Eugeo could not get out and was trapped in the tower.
I had yelled out an emotional response. Not only the battle was a tease but our trio was separated yet again.
It was a good episode, very good one with an annoying cliffhanger but it makes you keep watching
The Twitter account or the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime revealed on Sunday that the episode airing next week will be an "episode 18.5" recap episode.
Meanwhile, the Monogatari series will take its time slot starting on April 6 w/ 6 rerun episodes
The official website for the Monogatari Series anime franchise revealed on February 6 that the "Zoku Owarimonogatari & Monogatari Series Selection" program will premiere on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 on April 6 at 24:00 (effectively April 7 at 12:00 a.m.), and will air on Saturdays in that same time slot. The "Monogatari Series Selection" will air six selected episodes from the franchise in that time slot, then Zoku Owarimonogatari will air in the timeslot for six episodes starting on May 18.
You get half action with Eugeo vs Bercouli and half mostly dialogue between Alice and Kirito. Alice is starting to remember her old memories and questioning the higher ups. I think it might started last ep
Feels weird Bercouli can slice time (the mechanics are explained but I have trouble believing it) and Alice can slice space (I believe)
Eugeo really demonstrated his ability to think outside the box, oh they talk about reinforcement?armament and release which the latter is more difficult to execute
They haven't done a unique, non human face for a human character they made a grotesque character for the first time
Interesting we don't get a nsfw warning but the scene was vague and less forceful when it was Pontifex undressing and manipulating and using suggestive euphemisms on poor Eugeo
Meanwhile, Alice and Kirito have a conversation and things escalated once Alice starts to defy the Pontifex as she believes what Kirito says is the truth
I admire Alice's resolve and hearing Kirito's plans that was thoughtfully well address the flaws he has once he and Eugeo defeat the Pontifex and make preparations against the Dark Territory in a world of corrupt nobles.
Not an episode of action. It was heavy with dialogue between two main parties.
I fell behind in commenting. I do Ep. 22 later tonight.
The important part was establishing Alice's character and her backstory after being kidnapped and forcibly brain washed. Alice was resilient to the end.
Alice got to speak with Bercouli who shares about her best traits.
With Eugeo brain washed, we do get some sakuga and fight scenes. It was a ruse, a good one for Eugeo to almost caught Quin off guard. Sword Art Online really excels at making some sexually depraved creepy characters which might turn off some people.
Quin doesn't really care for the egg guy. We finally get a chance for the trio to fight together.
Dream: Will post a little later what the next voted anime will be that I will watch and review.

Dream: Concluding things at episode 2 with Vampire Bund for the night. Hoping to get back to Basquatch tomorrow, as long as I'm not swamped with anything.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...

Dream: Not sure if I should be donning the nostalgia goggles or not giving a damn. Looks like the original Digimon Adventure series is getting a reboot airing starting in the Spring season.
Jan 21, 2020 3:21:13 GMT
Taka: I'll watch it if there's nothing catching my eye in Spring. winter 2020 was a weak anime season for me.

Dream: Wouldn't say it's all bad for me. Have a few titles holding my interest. Just it typically doesn't have as many major titles of note that would hold me over.

Dream: Done with Vampire Bund. Will be working on a review of it before I hop into the next Funi series. Hoping to get it up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how lengthy my thoughts get.
