Dream Is there such a thing as a downvote lol? Cause as much as I like X/1999, I'd like to downvote it, the anime adaptation does the manga no justice, and it's really not worth your time. If you want, you can check out the movie that came before it, but you'd have to be familiar with the source material cause the pacing's rapid and it doesn't explain much.
Don't watch it (the TV series). I do recommend the manga though, you can buy it on Comixology.
Hmmmm.... got an idea. For a bonus, I'll cover everything for Black Lagoon anime (both TV anime and the Roberta's Blood Trail OVA) if it gets past the nomination phase and gets the most votes in the voting phase.
Eva01: No downvoting. But I'll take your second vote for Garo. Still leaves you with three nominating votes.
I did see the X/1999 movie. Definitely recall how much of a muddled mess it was with how quick it brisks through the story. Far as the manga and TV anime are concerned, bit of a rough pickle over preferred adaptation. Both are definitely better over the movie, but they also have their issues with the TV anime creating its own original ending that felt anticlimactic and CLAMP having the manga on an indefinite hiatus for over 15 years now.
Someday I’ll be gone To somewhere that we belong And God has never played his role 'Cause I’m the one who saves my soul It’s a perfect world we’re longing for
Oh, you've already watched it (more reason to skip it then). Also, "indefinite hiatus" is code for "cancelled" lol, that thing's never getting continued. Which is funny, since Bastard!! is also on "indefinite hiatus" and it's one of CLAMP's favourite works and was an inspiration for X (don't ask how).
Dream Alright here i go with it. I can't view the current list since Funimation is region locked here, so i'll go off what google just shows. It's also the reason i didn't vote so far (hard to vote when you can't even see what to vote for).
Nominating: The Vision of Escaflowne The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
As for the seconds... i'll hold on onto them until i decide whether i desire you to suffer through pure fan service (bloody Valkyrie Drive and Conception) or not. Probably not, but still maybe.
That is so strange. Most sites will block you for viewing the episode. AnimeLab, Wakanim, Anime Digital Network which caters to Europe except AnimeLab that is in New Zealand and Australia - I can at least view their catalog when I need to work on the simulcast guide. Their twitter accounts don't tell them the exact days when they are streaming the series.
Taka FUNimation is an odd one in that case. As you said i can watch which shows are on Animelab and the other sites of which the anime themselves are locked to only be viewed from their zones. FUNimation on the other hand not only region locks me out of their catalogue, i can't even go to the home page of the website itself. Even the home page funimation.com is region-locked, as is the entirety of the site. Would've expected otherwise except something that looks disgustingly entitled or overprotective.
Dream: Spice and Wolf's the next title I'm rewatching. Stay tuned.

Taka: My favorite episode in Samurai Champloo was probably Ep 22.

Dream: The one with zombies excavating for treasure? Think that one's the most out there of episodes in the series. Mine's probably the one involving Mugen busting a counterfeit coin ring while trying to get nookie from a ninja girl disguised as a prostitute.

Master Menos: Updates complete. As for a life update, I'm quitting my fast food job soon. Was good for my very first job, but things are getting FAR too chaotic for my tastes.

Dream: Far as job front goes on my end, still waiting on projects to start up with my freelance job. Beyond that, nothing new for other work in my search.

Dream: Just completed Spice and Wolf. Plan to work on a review for it sometime tomorrow. Too late to have any inhibition to get one done from my end.
Feb 7, 2020 3:17:29 GMT
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.
Feb 7, 2020 5:19:21 GMT
Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
Feb 11, 2020 2:11:38 GMT
Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)

Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.
Feb 15, 2020 16:50:30 GMT
Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
