Even Base Asta is going to be hard for a magic user. The Black Swords can cut, reflect and dispel magic attacks. Shinya has to be prepared for all of his magic attacks to be reflected back at him or blocked.
Shinya's precog immunity makes Ki reading precog useless but Asta is still extremely proficient in close combat. His best bet is to go for the TK barrier thing that can twist the body every which way but it has to be fast. If the attack doesn't completely immobilize Asta then he can use the dispelling sword to neutralize the attack and counter attack.
I'm going with Asta here 60/40
R2. Black Asta, no sword of atlopos
Black Asta is nasty. You've got magic cutting projectile slashes, bursts of homing anti-magic, magic reflection and not to mention that huge cut Asta just did to the castle. I've got to go with Asta, 75-80%
R3. Black Asta, shinya gets the sword of atlopos
IIRC Asta blocked the Devil's Spear that had something to do with causality. I've got to reread but I comment on this one
"No matter what happens...I shall gift this world and the world beyond with apocalypse..."
Zero , shinya is pretty damn powerful in up front confrontations (he fought someone near his equal ryouhei and completely overwhelmed him), not to mention outrigh having the power to stagger something like the mother of all monsters, he also has a barrier that pops up against attacks(it’s ranked some incredible powerful attack, early in the series before gaining any power ups it ranked an attack that tore though a mountain so if he chooses to use projectiles he can definitely block them).
Lack Asta will be the one that wins honestly (he can pretty much just slice through shinya’s barrier from afar and spam it) though I reall Don’t consider the fortress cut to be too impressive (he pretty much sliced though a cityblock)
I don’t recall any causality stuff from the word devil
Dank Sinatra, I see, btw I got to ask. You said something about tearing trough mountains. What level of DC does Shinya has? Because in the profile I saw a huge blast visible from space. Is that feat not counted?
Nestle , his barrier tanked a blast that tore through a mountain (depending on size and what not it would be anywhere from town to city level) he one shot the giant monster that caused the feat and that was before he gained any upgrades.
You mean the giant planet sized laser? The issue with sariel and his feats is he had one that made an “explosion” That covered most of a planet and a laser the size of one. His giant explosion took place in a tower and the tower itself took no damage so I chalk his giant flashy feats up as excessive AOE(if it weren’t for the lack of destruction caused by his feats shinya as the awakened messiah would scale to a continental and planetary feat easily)
Dream: Will post a little later what the next voted anime will be that I will watch and review.

Dream: Concluding things at episode 2 with Vampire Bund for the night. Hoping to get back to Basquatch tomorrow, as long as I'm not swamped with anything.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...

Dream: Not sure if I should be donning the nostalgia goggles or not giving a damn. Looks like the original Digimon Adventure series is getting a reboot airing starting in the Spring season.

Taka: I'll watch it if there's nothing catching my eye in Spring. winter 2020 was a weak anime season for me.

Dream: Wouldn't say it's all bad for me. Have a few titles holding my interest. Just it typically doesn't have as many major titles of note that would hold me over.

Dream: Done with Vampire Bund. Will be working on a review of it before I hop into the next Funi series. Hoping to get it up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how lengthy my thoughts get.
