Welcome to the M-Gene Spec-OPs/Suppression Forces Center.
This thread will contain steps to creating your own suppression team. Along with rules, and the all-important Threat level system that determines your pursuit, and aggressiveness towards M-Gene users that are in your area.
The M-Gene Suppression teams were created for one major purpose… To handle M-Gene users that are deemed in their eyes hostile agents by any means necessary. However over time some of these groups learned that not all M-Gene users have an appetite for destruction and chaos, and use their powers for the greater good. The suppression team may allow this certain M-Gene user to continue his/her activities after they have formed a bond of mutual respect. Then there are versions of these groups that use their suppression protocols in a more diabolical fashion. Using their influence to cause fear in their local M-Gene user communities, and force them to do things against their will to establish control in the area. In short these teams have a base moral alignment (Good, Neutral, Evil) that can affect their overall threat levels in a particular area. These teams usually have good relationships with normal humans often asking for their aid to track down an M-Gene user who is wanted for various reasons.
***Mandatory formation of your M-Gene Spec-Ops/Suppression Team***
• All teams have a maximum of 10 members that are mostly NPC’s (However you can create a main character that can be the overall leader of the group, more info on that below.)
• All teams’ looks and origins must fit the overall setting of the world. No Demons from Hell or Sorcerer Guilds for example. The world we are in currently is technology based, along with ones with superpowers. No Magic.
• The maximum power level for your team is **City Block Level**. When the threat level gage of an M-Gene user is at its maximum level you will be allowed to shutdown specific areas of a city or town to attempt an ambush and use other tactics. (Be warned, even though you have certain abilities at this stage, victory is still not guaranteed. More info below in the Threat Level Information Hub below)
• The team you control must have protocols in place to reduce/increase the threat level of an M-Gene. It is up to you what those protocols are.
The 8 Important Steps to Creating Your Team
Here I will explain in detail the main 8 steps/ information points you will need to fill out your team. This is all customizable by you, so you make your team look and act how you wish as long as they follow the mandatory information posted above.
**Step 1: Location**
The location you decide for your team to patrol is the first step, and it is the major one. There are a total of 8 locations up for grabs- North America, South America, China, Japan, Australia, Russia, Europe, and Africa. There will be two more added later, mostly by splitting two of the current locations, either by story progression or more users enter the RP group or group discussions. There will only be 10 locations in total with each one giving out a maximum of 10 Threat level stars to any M-Gene user in the area they patrol. So for example your team patrols North America you can only give out threat level stars to M-Gene users that wanders in your area. Threat Stars your team puts on an M-Gene user don’t carry over to another location. An M-Gene user could have 8 Threat stars in North American, but have none in China. So you can’t pursue them if they escaped your grasp and entered another team’s location.
**Step 2: Name of Your Team**
The Name of your team is purely up to you. You can use the location your teams resides to come with names for your team if you wish. Also you can have the name of your team be supernatural in nature. If you want to call them “The Demon’s Fang” that is perfectly fine. Symbols and icons can be used as a logo for your team. If you need help on designing a logo or finding one, PM a Mod or use the I Need a Look thread to have the community help you find something.
**Step 3: The Make-Up/ General Look for Your Team**
Here is where you describe briefly the overall look of your team. This is all customizable as long it follows the mandatory formation posted above. They can be a variety of different races, Humans, Super Soldiers, M-Gene users themselves, or even reanimated corpses brought back by certain technologies. Gender wise is also fully your choice; they can be all male, all female, split gender or no gender. It is up to you, but you must remember they can only have a maximum number of 10 members.
**Step 4: (Optional) Create a Main Character as the Leader**
When you have completed the look of your team you have the option to create a character to be the leader of the team. They must follow the general rules of the forum power wise, the ceiling for their power is Small Building level. Also your character will have specific rules they will have to follow. One of these rules is that if your character is defeated in combat, your entire team must retreat. More information will be below in the Threat Level Information Hub. When creating your character fill out the title to your bio thread this way: (AVNA, Spec-OPS) Your Team, Name of your character. Example: (AVNA, Spec-OPS) the Demon’s Fang Leader, Adam Smith. If you choice to leave the leadership of your team NPC based simply put “NPC” under the leadership category.
**Step 5: The Alignment of Your Team**
A very key component for your team overall, with this you will be able to figure out ideas for steps 6 & 7. Alignment is important because it affects what an M-Gene user does in the area that will increase or decrease their Threat Level. The choice of your teams’ alignment is up to you, Lawful Good-Chaotic Evil.
**Step 6: Protocols for raising an M-Gene Users Threat Level**
With your alignment in place you should be able to get a general Idea of what actions an M-Gene user will have to do to raise their Threat level in your patrol area. If your team is on the side of Good morals then you would mostly like try to stop aggressive M-Gene users from causing harm. If your team is on the side of Bad morals you may want to raise the threat level of an M-Gene user who is getting in the way of your shady deals. These are just examples, the protocols can be whatever you desire, but they must be consistent with everybody. You can create up to 5 protocols at maximum.
**Step 7: Protocols for lowering an M-Gene Users Threat Level**
If there are ways to raise an M-Gene users Threat Level there must also be ways for them to lower it. This also up to you there can be a maximum of 5 Protocols.
**Step 8: An Alternate User For Your Team**
Sometimes real life can get in the way of our writing time and it is perfectly understandable. When filling out your team information keep this in mind. For this part you can post the name of the user you want to take over your team in your absence. Make sure it is someone you can trust, because abusing the powers of the team can disrupt RP’s.
**Recap and Example Team**
Let’s recap the 8 Steps, and then create an example team. The Location, Name of Your Team, General Look, The Leader (Main Character is Optional), The Alignment, Protocols for Raising Threat Level, Protocols for Lowering Threat Levels, and finally Name of an Alternate User.
• Location: North America
• Name of Team: The Demon’s Fang
• General Look: Humans- 8 Male, 2 Female. Uses Advanced Power Suit Technology for M-Gene Suppression.
• The Leader: Adam Smith (Link to Bio here)
• Alignment: Lawful Good
• Protocols for Raising Threat Level: Environmental Destruction, and Terroristic behavior.
• Protocols for Lowering Threat Level: Assisting in the capture of aggressive M-Gene users.
• Alternate User for Team: Sonata
The Threat Level Information Hub
This is the heart of the Spec-Ops/Suppression teams from all locations. Threat Levels from all M-Gene users will be placed here along with details of special abilities the team get to perform when they run into a character with a high threat level. Along with basic rules and guidelines that need to be followed.
The Threat Level System
The spec-ops team uses a special star system to determine the threat level of all M-Gene users. With each increase in level, the Spec-Ops teams pursue the wanted M-Gene user more aggressively. Along with their aggression they will also be allowed to adapt better counter-measures for the M-Gene user’s powers, making them more difficult to get away from. However M-Gene users are not entirely in a hopeless situation even with a very high Threat Level. If an M-Gene user has a threat level of 5, but is also accompanied by other characters with much lower threat levels; the higher character could be a decoy, and the lower M-Gene users can setup surprises of their own. This is mostly due to the Spec-Ops team preparing themselves more for the higher threat user than the lower ones. When the high threat levels are even across the board for the M-Gene users, the Spec-Ops teams will be better prepared for the entire party. So always keep in mind the Threat Levels of everyone in your party when starting RP’s.
0 Stars: The have next to no information on your character whatsoever. Not even remotely bothered by your presence in the location.
1-3 Stars (Low Level): Have some vague information on your character, will engage if they run into your character .
4-6 Stars (Medium Level): Have solid information on your character, and developed some counter measures. They are actively pursuing you, may have asked for assistance from the locals. Bounties may also be in effect.
7-10 Stars (Highest Level): Aggression and Pursuit is at its highest, the team has studied your powers well and developed even better counter measures against the M-Gene user’s powers. Higher bounties usually in place; as well as locking down certain areas of a city, the public could also assist in the capture.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...
