Also I would like to point out that just because he did not say my exact words does not make them anymore accurate, considering as stated Androids have train far longer without tiring.
And Yet Frieza who was a prodogy was able to reach SSJB level after putting in training, Android 17 was largely stronger than Frieza and had trained for far longer. DBZ has always showed characters with high potential to be able to grow incredibly fast (Gohan) or at least Damage those who are far stronger than they are (Again Gohan)
SSJB maybe a very powerful concept, but it's only a saiyan thing, it has no hold over how other being can grow. Super saiyan God was a form created by low-class saiyans originally, so I don't see why others can't grow that strong, when Beerus only told Goku that he could never train to reach said level, and Goku was born with a powerlevel at the bottom of the barrel. (I believe even farmer with a shotgun had a bigger powerlevel than baby Goku.
So you admit that it is not farfetch but you still say it's stupid? now it sounds like an excuse to be annoyed.
No, not saying those words or anything that indicates that makes it less accurate. It doesn't have to be the exact words, but it would be the same as if one would conclude someone did a lot of training when they just said they didn't not train. It's interpreting the words as they aren't. I mean yes Androids like 17 have an infinite energy supply and don't need to eat and practically could go for it for a long time, but that doesn't mean they will in fact do that all the time.
Also while Frieza is a prodigy and got to above SSB level somehow in 4 months of training, Android 17 isn't ever indicated to be one plus he doesn't have training facilities like Frieza does. And training intensity does in fact matter in DBZ as it would in real life, as heavier training in for example increased gravity (as Goku and Vegeta did) has a better effect than just under regular conditions (look at the likes of Tien, progressed much faster under Popo).
Also yes SSB is a saiyan only thing, but the power jump it displayed was huge and not something that should be easily achieved. Yet somehow it is constantly being achieved by weaker characters like a raging Future Trunks, Frieza after 4 months of training and Android 17 after years of working and doing some training. I mean yes Beerus told Goku that he could never train to be SSG level, though that means either SSG is either ridiculously more powerful or it was just unachievable for any standard saiyan (since Goku and Vegeta always get to be around the same level).
Lastly yes i agreed it's not far-fetched, the stupid thing was just me lamenting a bit on Gohan's idiocy (or rather the writing since somehow being accostumed to fighting blind means nothing anymore after a fight).
Oh and calm down, you sound pretty triggered.
Except the way android 17 was talking, he made it out to be that his training was how you'd normally associate training with DBZ characters, he did not make it out as if he was just doing light training every so often. he states that he has not been slacking off. the stronger you become the more intense your train will become in effort to get better resolves, we see this a lot in Dragon ball.
Akira Toriyama once stated in an interview that 17 had high potential, it seems that even though he was most likely talking about the GT 17, he continued to keep that notion with Super's version of 17. Android 17 starting off as far stronger than Frieza, makes his potential pretty high to begin with considering frieza was born with such a high powerlevel to begin with and android 17 was created to challenge and kill Goku. Apparently Dr. Gero was so paranoid by Goku's potential that he made the androids overly powerful, as confirmed when he stated he never witnessed the frieza arc.
I mean can we really say it makes no sense considering it was a transformation five low-class saiyans made up one day? If five low classes can make this form, then any other race should in theory be able to come up with a way to reach that level of power through their own means. 17 being a bio-mortified human with too much power, should be able to reach that level with training.
Lastly, I was less triggered and more caught off-guard/confused by you saying that, just a clarification. I was expecting a different answer and when I didn't get it, I was left making up something to say.
Taka: My favorite episode in Samurai Champloo was probably Ep 22.

Dream: The one with zombies excavating for treasure? Think that one's the most out there of episodes in the series. Mine's probably the one involving Mugen busting a counterfeit coin ring while trying to get nookie from a ninja girl disguised as a prostitute.

Master Menos: Updates complete. As for a life update, I'm quitting my fast food job soon. Was good for my very first job, but things are getting FAR too chaotic for my tastes.

Dream: Far as job front goes on my end, still waiting on projects to start up with my freelance job. Beyond that, nothing new for other work in my search.

Dream: Just completed Spice and Wolf. Plan to work on a review for it sometime tomorrow. Too late to have any inhibition to get one done from my end.

Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.
