Plot: The six-part anime theatrical film series Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter launches with part 1 in 59 theaters across Japan on December 9th. A new preview and promo offer the latest look and feature an appearance by BC Freedom High- a Vichy and Free French combined themed school - referenced in the anime and seen in the Ribbon Warrior spin-off manga.
The project will also have immersive 4DX and MX4D screenings, after the second episode in the Finale anime project ends its initial run of regular screenings. Each of the immersive screenings will combine two episodes; the first ones will combine the first and second episodes. The next set of immersive screenings will combine the third and fourth episodes, and the last set will combine the fifth and sixth episodes.
The home release of the film will include an OVA called "Taiyaki War!".
The official website for the six-part Girls und Panzer das Finale film series began streaming a video on Thursday to reveal that the second film's Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will include a new original video animation (OVA) titled "Taiyaki War!" The release will ship in Japan on February 27.
Taka: It's a gigantic mech franchise. I haven't seen Macross myself. I know it's a big one.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.
