Alias: First-Time Gal, Hajimete no Gal, Hajimete no Gyaru
Plot: The story is pretty simple and sounds like those old movies with sex crazed teenagers from American Pie. Junichi Hashiba cries about being stuck a virgin in high school. His perverted group of friends tries making a joke by giving a love letter to "gyaru" or translated as "gal" in English, Yukana Yame. Junichi kneels on the ground and begs her to be his girlfriend which somehow got Yukana to agree to one date.
Welcome to the short review. There is not much for me to talk since the only ones who watch this are the ecchi fans or the non ecchi fans forced to do a review or drunk mini-game or a themed anime review of horrid titles.
For me, I'm sort of neutral. Not an ecchi fan nor a fan who hates ecchi. I expected this show to be mediocre but gave it a try out of hopes it's decent or better since there was not much Summer 2017 anime shows to watch on Wednesdays.
The show pretty much fails with their characters. The story is simple and all right for a slice of life school based comedy show except towards the end where conflict feels like it was forcibly created.
It could have been better if the main character is a little more likeable. In my community, most of the male users (most of which are batle users) tend to like stronger male characters. Junichi is a character of low self esteem with a high social anxiety that he gets insecure which is demonstrated when he accuses Yukana towards the end of the anime series of cheating on him. Things could have resolve better if the couple had better communication. Speaking of couple, Yukana Yame, the heroine, doesn't feel developed compared to the two love interests who got their own episodes, Nene Fujinoki and Yui Kashii. I feel Yukana doesn't have a big presence compared to the other two girls even though Junichi chooses Yukana over them.
I can't really comment on music since it wasn't as memorable. I mean ecchi shows like Prison School and Shimoneta somehow get stuck in my head. This show's opening is cute but I can't remember the song. What I can comment is the animation. There are moments where the animation jumps up in quality only during the heavy fan service scenes. You have shots where background characters or even the main characters who are seen in middle ground or even in the back, they look less polished.
For a 12 episode series, it wasn't bad or good. It's not bad enough to make fun of in watching with your friends. I definitely only recommend to fans who can tolerate ecchi.
Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
