This year is a bit weird in the anime industry and fandom. There were be about 2 or more sister obsessed shows: Eromanga Sensei and A Sister's All I Need. I don't remember any other show or the show had a sister complex character as a minor trope in one of the shows. These two shows had it as part of their central plot. These two shows aren't meant for anyone, only those who are curious or numb to the crazy stuff they seen in anime such as bizarre stuff and ecchi service.
A Sister's All You Need is an anime based on Yomi Hirasaka's light novel series. It's a short anime adaptation of 12 episodes.
Going into the first episode, you will get hit hard with the hook and how hard and depraved the protagonist with his sister obsession that drives his light novel career. The story of the anime is pretty a tale of Itsuki Hashima's circle of friends. Itsuki Hashima is your protagonist. Haruto is a fellow light novel author, Nayuta is also a light novel author who is a perverted sex maniac in love with Itsuki, and Miyako is a college student.
Even though the story has focus on light novels, they don't go deep into the career or the industry. Rather they go into the relationships of Itsuki's circle and the struggles Itsuki and Haruto as they achieve things such as getting an anime or manga adaptation of their light novels. There are references to other light novels and anime. And we have board and card games, Itsuki's group would play games every episode or so.
The anime would be normal and tolerable to regular or new anime fans as well as interesting to watch if there were no absurd ecchi fan service. I would imagine it. That's the first obstacle for many who drop the show or won't try it.
As for the characters themselves, I find it personally hard to sympathize with any of them. I don't like romance being inserted as sub plot especially when the focus of the show is relationships. That gets complicated. I had no one to ship or so. I had no interest. For character development, only Itsuki, Haruto, and Miyako had some development. Nayuta had none as she had no struggles being a gifted light novel author and she is pretty fan service girl. She does try to compete for Haruto's love. There is no competition. For Haruto, depends if you share or experience inferiority complexes. That is basically his character. That can be a double edge sword for some people who like stronger or more assertive characters for their protagonists.
Overall, the anime is decent. Nothing groundbreaking. The fan service element is a distraction as it comes out of nowhere or it's too much to keep the other interesting parts more in focus. The romance between characters are lukewarm and a bit shallow. I would give a 6 out of 10.
Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
