Alias: Emiya-sanchi no Kyō no Gohan Studio: Ufotable Adaptation: Manga Genres: Parody Episodes: Release Date: Dec 31 (AbemaTV), January 25, 2018 (Aniplex), February 1
Plot: Based on the parody manga of the same name, Today's Menu for Emiya Family features Shirou Emiya cooking up tasty dishes for the rest of the characters of Fate/stay night -- including Rin, Sakura, Saber, Lancer, and Rider.
"Fulfilling meal…a familiar view"
In this story, Fate and food meet in a delicious and gentle world.
It's nothing but an ordinary meal scene...
Delicious meals are served at the Emiya's dinner table every day, through spring, summer, fall and winter.
-- Let's see... what's for dinner today?
The first episode aired during Ufotable's Fate New Year's Eve special, and is set to re-air later this month. AbemaTV will stream the series online starting from episode 2 in February.
I do wonder about Lancer's relationship with Taiga. I didn't think they make good friends. I never really knew much about Lancer's personality outside of the "serious anime" I haven't even watched Carnival Phantasm or any of the funny parodies or spin-off series
Now, I have to wait for Shinji since he's the oddball character for me.
Taka: I was half-joking on the food porn mention. One big thing cut from animated adaptations of F/SN was the great amount of focus on meals that Shiro and others in his household were having, with the narration going into great detail on the food and how it's prepared.
Judging from the anime's premise, looks like it's a sort of slice-of-life comedy featuring Shiro making food for the F/SN cast.
Someday I’ll be gone To somewhere that we belong And God has never played his role 'Cause I’m the one who saves my soul It’s a perfect world we’re longing for
It's light since this is the first week of Spring 2018 anime
Got two shows. This one is monthly
Got to see Shirou cook sandwiches for the temple: Reikan, the head of the temple, Neko, manager of Copenhagen. Both are Fujimura's classmates. Probably the first time I seen them in anime since I don't remember if they show up in the earlier anime series
Oh I fell behind. Well, I watch one episode per day since it comes out monthly. The summer season is starting but the bulk won't come out after the first week.
The cooking of the month is Bamboo Shoot Gratin with Issei delivering bamboo shoot from Reikan in thanks from the last episode
Oh hey, didn't expect to see Mitsuru.
The cooking show with Emiya and now Sakura - they really put in the dedication to show each step and how vividly detail the food looks. I think the only people who don't know how to cook are Taiga and the servants.
It was really odd to see Shinji in this show and that fact, Sakura was observing hi eating his meal in secret
It had a flashback of young Taiga and Shirou. I thought it was only two of them living until Kiritsugu appeared at the end This is probably my first time seeing those two act like disjointed brother and sister.
Cooking wasn't main emphasis as we had the preparations of the school festival. It was very heavy slice of life featuring lots of characters, the students whom I don't even recognize. The only Servants I remember seeing in this episode was Lancer and Saber.
Shirou cooks for the student council whose members all have glasses. That was interesting. For some reason, I'm reminding how Isshiki? the boy with glasses had a strange yet close relationship with Shirou. It was play for laughs in Fate Kaleid with them turning a yaoi comedic routine for the BL fans in Illya's circle.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.

Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)

Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...

Dream: ...manipulation last week.
