Yuhao’s punches expanded the holes in the spirit’s torso, making gaping, burning wounds out of each small stab. She held her chest, but nothing could stop them from widening further. The qi warrior’s star attack sealed the deal. The flesh of her face was burned away, leaving her a shambling ghoul. As she threw a final punch, she fell into ribbons that quickly burned away. Her closed fist went last, revealing it was closed around a chunk of blue hair. That too swiftly faded, leaving the floor barren of anything but rubble.
Leslie and Ardrugas too made short work of their enemies. Ardrugas disarmed and pummeled Leslie’s phantoms, while his own shades fell to Leslie’s mighty swings. Leslie’s alternate self charged and swung a crushing overhead swing down at her helmet. Leslie easily sidestepped and plunged her blade through the eye-hole of her duplicate. At the same moment, Ardrugas caught his foe off guard with a snap jab, breaking his jaw before stepping in to hammer him into oblivion. The spirits fell together and vanished. Leslie and Ardrugas high-fived and faced the last threat.
Fifi had retreated to the top of the stairs, followed by her remaining spirits. The one that grabbed her arm and yanked her off balance. A kick to the leg and she went rolling down the stairs. She snarled in pain, patting her hips and finding no weapons. The huge man followed after, an aura the color of his hair appearing. “Spirits can use ki!?” Leslie sputtered. “He’s using ki?” Ardrugas tilted his head. “I don’t think I’ve ever fought a ki user! Exciting!”
The golden man raised his fist and threw a burning ball of light. It exploded in the midst of Ardrugas and Leslie, scattering them. He lunged down after it, swinging a massive arm at Yuhao with the intent of sweeping him aside. His head turned up with a haughty grin, the face of a man who did not lose. The blue-haired phantom just slowly walked down the stairs, eyes on Fifi.
Yuhao was hit by the attack however at the point of impact he let his body go limp and flew with the blow which sent him flying. He quickly did a flip in the air and landed on one finger before he hopped back to his feet with a trail of blood running down the right side of his mouth. "That hurt," he calmly said as he wiped the blood from his mouth and got into a stance with his sword pointed at the golden haired man. Yuhao threw his sword at the spirit to distract him as he started to condense stellar qi into his arms. He released them in a a X shaped blast that had slightly less power than if he did it with a sword and didn't have as much cutting powers. "Original Stellar Technique Arm Slash," He announced as the blast sailed at the spirit.

“You two handle the big guy. I’ll keep Fifi alive.” Leslie grumbled. She didn’t trust or like Fifi, but she wasn’t letting a prisoner die on her watch. She stepped up the stairs, huge sword outstretched. Fifi and the spirit looked at her, watching her approach with quiet apprehension. She couldn’t help but notice their similarity, so akin in facial structure, expression, their hair and posture. Immediately, Leslie grasped their relation. Fifi had murdered her brother, perhaps even her twin. “You hold such a dark story.” Leslie told the spirit. It did not respond, just sliding into a fighting stance.
Not far away, the blonde spirit glowered down as Yuhao stood. Clearly, very few people did that after a direct hit from this man. He slowly stalked down the stairs, watching as Yuhao gathered his ki with glittering eyes. His own golden ki flared up in response, and when Yuhao fired his off, he crossed his own arms and his own version flew free. Sun met stars and the entire arena was drowned in light. Stair steps shattered and shrapnel flew, the whole courtroom drenched in dust. When it cleared, the golden spirit was pulling himself out of the crater he had been embedded into. He was significantly less bright now, coated in dust and glowering with firey hatred at Yuhao. Before he could retaliate, Ardrugas was upon him, pummeling him back into the crater with a barrage of blows. With a roar of rage, he blasted Ardrugas away, coming up burning. He flew down at Yuhao, fist becoming a burning meteor. He brought it down with the intent of turning Yuhao into a smouldering crater.
Yuhao crossed his arms as the explosion engulfed him and slid back several feet before he prepared himself for the next strike..Yuhao flipped over the spirit just barely able to dodge at the last second. He knew he had to finish this fight soon or he was fucked as he was running low on stamina. He landed slightly less gracefully than normal near his sword and he kicked it up to his hand. "Grandfather always said I waste too much energy on flashy movements. Maybe he was right," Yuhao whispered to himself as he adjusted his stance and activated his stellar step to move at the spirit using the most minimum of movement to dodge each oncoming blow that may have been thrown at him to finally use his sword to stab at the chest of the spirit.

The golden man’s fist came so close to Yuhao’s face it ruffled his hair on the way past. Everything seemed to be in slow motion for a second. Blazing fist passing, well on its way to leave another crater in an already cratered courthouse. Yuhao’s sword raising. The spirit’s eyes lowered, but it was too late to change course. His face was stoic, accepting. The sword went through his chest. For a moment, there was a great weight upon Yuhao as the spirt’s body collapsed on him. Then, there was nothing. He was gone.
The blue-haired spirit above stopped fighting Leslie to look down, cocking his head. There was something unreadable in his eyes. Fifi stared as well, face hardening. With a scream, she lunged at the final phantom. Her hand chopped out, striking the spirit where his neck was already crushed. It cracked further, bending his neck like a plastic straw. Without surprise or anger, he fell like a rag doll, gone before he reached the ground. Fifi collapsed to her knees, burying her face in her hands. Leslie looked down at her for a second before turning away. “You should leave.” She said. “You’re just going to get killed here.” Fifi didn’t move, just peeking through her fingers at Yuhao below. He stood in victory now, conquerer of her demons. Her weakness disgusted her. “I have failed again.” She muttered.
Yuhao stumbled for a second as the weight removed from him. He straightened himself up and stumbled towards the final phantom with his sword in his hand. He made it a few steps when he saw Leslie decapitate the last enemy. Instantly the adrenaline left his tired body and he collapsed onto his front releasing a weak laugh. "I think I need a drink," he joked as a soft glow enveloped his body as some of his minor wounds started to slowly heal bit by bit. These last couple of floors were pretty tough on heal but it also showed just how much more training he had to do if something like this was giving him such trouble.

“...no drinks.” Schísimo grumbled, clearly upset with the results here. “But the next floor’s a rest floor. I remember that from before. Come on, we could all use the rest.” As Leslie offered Yuhao a hand up, the elevator came rumbling from the floor at the top of the steps. Fifi sat in shocked silence, only moving when prompted by Leslie. They all piled into the elevator and went down once more, a quick trip. Leslie was well-prepared for something horrible. Filthy cots at best, dirty straw on a bug-infested floor at worst. Instead, when the doors opened, they opened to a scarlet realm, a hallway with a rich velvety carpet and individual rooms, stretching off to the horizon.
“Left have single bed. Right have two. All have individual bathrooms.” Schísimo informed them, immediately entering one of those with a single bed. Leslie peeked into the closest door. A perfectly ordinary hotel room greeted her, decorated in varying shades of crimson. The only strange thing was the window, providing a view of nothing but a roaring flame. “They seem… normal.” She mumbled to the others, then gasped. She could see a bathroom in front of her, a perfectly ordinary one! With a toilet! And a shower! “Yuhao, Leslie, get your own rooms. We’ll see you in a few hours. Come on, Ardrugas.” Leslie walked in and a few seconds later the shower was running. Ardrugas paused for a second outside. He looked like he wanted to say something, but the words never came to his lips, and he turned to enter the room after Leslie. Fifi stood stock still outside of the elevator, staring at the doors without comprehension. Her eyes were empty, her expression a vacant expression of shellshock.
Yuhao took a tired hand and placed it gently on Fifi's shoulder. "Come on we all need rest," he said as he lead her to a room near Leslie's then he went and found a room to himself where he then went about preforming maintenance on his sword and when that was done he pulled a needle and thread of of his pouch that had somehow not been completely destroyed during this ordeal and went to work sewing various wounds up across his body that his healing couldn't heal. He then when he was done got in the shower and let the water rinse off the blood and sooth his tired body. Somehow he ended up falling asleep standing up in the shower as a miniature sun and dragon orbited around his body in a graceful orbit.

A few hours later, Leslie’s eyes involuntarily opened. She rolled from the grip of Ardrugas and the blankets to inspect her sore body. As the fury had promised, her wounds were all entirely gone, but the ache remained. Scars and bruises decorated her head to toe where she was hit today, and every one pulsed with her heartbeat. “You feel it too, Ardrugas?” She touched the scar on his chest where the golden phantom had blasted him. “It’s what rest in hell feels like. It never clears the pain you get here.” He kissed her and rolled from the bed.
In a few minutes, they emerged from the room with the half-rested feel of those woken up at midnight. Schísimo was already there, gnawing on a bone she hadn’t had before. Fifi emerged not much later, uniform wrinkled like she had slept in it. She probably had. There was still a distant expression in her eyes, but she seemed more present than before. “Ah… hello?” An unfamiliar voice came from a door further down the hall. A dark-skinned woman with curly black hair falling around her head leaned from a door. “I assume you are not agents of hell, because I am alive.” She stepped fully into view, revealing herself to be a short woman in a white suit, marked as Egyptian by the ankh around her neck.
Great, another foreigner. Was Leslie’s first thought, coming unbidden to her mind. She shook her head and offered her hand. “Uh… yes, we’re trying to clear this tower out. We have another companion still in his room. I assume you just got here?” She tilted her head. “Yes. Cleopatra Nebty, at your service.” Cleopatra’s bow was short and sharp, keeping her eyes on Ardrugas’ deformed face. Leslie already wasn’t liking her much.
Yuhao came out of his room still wet wearing what was left of his clothes which by after all these fights was really only very torn cloth pants. He stumbled his way over to the group and took a shot from a flask from his bag then stowed it away. "Please tell me we aren't going to the next floor today," Yuhao complained as he offered the flask to everyone in turn. Once he made it to the newcomer he froze for a second then offered the flask to her. Ardrugas I think we are officially the outnumbered gender in this group," Yuhao joked after he put the flask away after everyone had their chance at it. He then took out a silk ribbon from his bag and started to carefully tie up his hair. While he listened to the group.

“Well I’m sure you’re thrilled.” Ardrugas grinned. “He’s that kinda guy?” Cleopatra asked, faint smile. “He’s not.” Fifi mumbled, making Leslie look up in surprise. Cleopatra was observing it all with interest. So there was a half-naked Asian man with perverted tendencies (or not), an unusual army woman (piercings and an eyepatch weren’t exactly standard issue), an Avalonian knight giving her weird looks, and, well, two literal monsters. She had been told this mission was important by the man upstairs, but now she was wondering if she was better off running home and getting some royal guards to handle this. This company was just worrying.
“As for the next floor, do we really have any choice? As far as I can tell, we’re on a time limit.” Leslie looked down at Schísimo. “Time different in here. Out there, time limit. Here… very long time limit. Week? Two? Something.” She shrugged. “So if we trust her, which I’m not sure we can do… we can rest here some more. But I doubt it’ll help. This soreness doesn’t just feel like I didn’t get enough rest. I feel… poisoned by resting here. Like I’ll never really heal.” Leslie stretched, feeling her sore muscles scream. “How about we vote? Who wants to push forwards?” Ardrugas and Leslie raised their hands. Fifi crossed her arms, glancing sidelong at Cleopatra and Yuhao.
Yuhao thought for a minute about the situation at hand. "Maybe we should see about getting some food first?" Yuhao suggested as he didn't really think going off into who knows what on a empty stomach. "Also our dear rescue I'm so happy you have such a good grasp of my character," he joked as he started digging into his bag and pulled out a smaller bag full of round sky blue pills. He counted them out then made a count of the people. "I seem to have just enough pills for everyone if you want," he offered then popped one in his mouth and swallowed.

“I’m not eating anything we find down here.” Ardrugas grumbled and Leslie nodded in agreement. She raised an eyebrow in suspicion when Yuhao offered everybody his pills. Fifi watched Yuhao swallow his own before throwing her head back and downing it. Ardrugas and Leslie hesitated a moment before following suit. “I have my own food, thank you.” Cleopatra patted the purse at her side. Leslie grumbled herself. She had left her supplies on the ship. “Alright, let’s get going.” She pushed past Cleopatra as the elevator returned to take them another floor down.
Yuhao shrugged his shoulders when Cleopatra declined his offer then put the pill back where it came from. "That was just a nutrient pill. It should keep somebody full for an entire day when swallowed. It's something my sister made for me before I left in case I was at a place I couldn't get any food," Yuhao explained before he followed Leslie into the elevator. "Though you should try the energy pills she made once. After ingesting one it took me a week to run out of energy even after using nonstop. My father wasn't too happy about that since ai wrecked the training area pretty hard," he joked as he rode with the others to the next floor.
After being in the elevator for a few minutes the doors opened up to a large and beautiful concert theater where one man was standing on the stage playing the violin masterfully while hundreds of demons watched.
Upon noticing the group he instantly stopped playing and spoke, "Welcome to the floor of Admusias. If you wish to proceed you must please myself and the gathered demons with music or otherwise they will tear you apart." Instantly every type of instrument imaginable appeared on the stage and the man gestured to them.
"So anybody know how to sing or play?" Yuhao asked as he walked over to the instruments ignoring the demons as he looked over the options.

“I could use that.” Ardrugas contemplatively rubbed his chin. “You with infinite energy? I shudder to picture that.” Leslie nudged his side. “Oh, come on. You’d love it too. We could train and fight as much as we please!” Ardrugas stretched, making Leslie giggle. “Please tell me you two aren’t a couple as well. I’d hate to be a double third wheel here.” Cleopatra mumbled to Yuhao, gesturing to Fifi. The soldier seemed to notice the gesture, looking over to blink in suspicion. Her attention was quickly drawn away when the doors swung open. Schísimo immediately rushed forward, pouncing to land right in front of the conductor. She crouched in front of him, ears perked in rapt awe. Leslie blinked a few times coming out.
“I’ll never be able to read her.” She mumbled, pulling off her gauntlets. “I am a knight of Albion! I am trained well in the classical arts.” Leslie picked through the instruments until she found an odd rounded string instrument. She grabbed it up and immediately began an old melody, a song her grandmother sang of witches on the mash, haunting and melancholy. “I cannot play, but I think I remember the words.” Ardrugas picked up the same song, singing in a brassy Irish baritone. He had heard Leslie play this song enough to get it close. Cleopatra shrugged and sat down at a massive harp, playing along once she registered the tune. Fifi stared in utter confusion, horror growing the more instruments she looked at. She couldn’t play a one. Her fingers were trained to pull triggers, not strings. Her lungs only barked words of combat, not notes.
Yuhao hummed along to the song for a few seconds till he got a grasp of the tune then grabbed a wooden flute and played along to the melody while dancing around to the music using his Stellar Steps to gracefully move around the stage. Once the song was finished he winked at Cleopatra and Fifi and sneakily hid the flute in his bag.
The Apostle clapped his hands at the performance. "Bravo Bravo," he cried as he approached the assembled group. "That performance was magnificent and I believe deserves a reward," he declared as instantly the instruments minus the flute Yuhao hid vanished and chairs appeared for the group to sit in on the stage. Then a large piano appeared on the stage and the man took a seat. "Enjoy the show," he declared as he took a seat and began playing a tune that tugged at the heartstrings of all who heard it reminding them of something from their pasts and sounding different to each person that heard it. Still with the sadness of the song it relieves the soreness and gave energy to the audience restoring them to peak energy levels.
Yuhao couldn't help but let a single tear drop down his face as his mind went back to the day his fiance left him for being talentless.

Fifi just stood until it ended, looking like a deer in the headlights. The music around her was moving, beautiful. But she could add nothing to it. She was left with a feeling of emptiness when it ended, only matched by Leslie’s sense of satisfaction. Leslie happily cuddled with Ardrugas in the seats while Fifi sat as far off to the side as she could. Cleopatra politely smiled at Yuhao, glancing at the solitary Fifi. All were surprised at the turn of the music. There wasn’t a dry eye by the time it ended. Leslie sniffled, helping Ardrugas up. They and Cleopatra bowed to the performer. Fifi made no move to thank him, but there was the ghost of a smile on her face. “What a sorrowful song. Tell me, what are you going to do with that flute?” Cleopatra asked Yuhao, leaning close to whisper.
Yuhao smiled at Cleopatra's question and answered, "Souvenir my dear new traveling companion." He laughed as he headed towards the elevator with the others in tow. Once the elevator with it's typical crampness stopped at the next floor the clearing party was met with a 7 foot man in a black suit of armor hold a ginormous two handed sword in one hand. In his other hand rested a large black Kite shield that reflected the party in it. What was even more particular was the treasure chest that was resting behind the knight.
The large knight lifted his large sword up into the air and brought it down at the party sending a mighty shockwave rushing forward as the knight followed behind using his shield as a ram. Yuhao jumped out of the way of the shockwave and sent a Stellar slash at the Knight that was easily blocked by his shield not even slowing him down.

“You’re enjoying this place far too much.” Cleopatra smiled at Yuhao as they crowded into the elevator. She squirmed the whole ride. Seemingly, the tight quarters bothered her more than the others. She was first out when they hit the next floor, but she immediately screamed and jumped back in. “Shit! Look alive, people!” Leslie was knocked off her feet by the shockwave, scrambling to get up while Ardrugas was rushing ahead, trying to slip past the shield to throw a powerful hook right below the knight’s ribs. Cleopatra threw out her arms and the ankh hanging from her neck glowed a bright green.
A barrier went up, blocking off the entrance of the elevator. Fifi was clearly awake for the first time today, staring through the barrier at the fight beyond. “Drop it.” She said simply. “What? Why? I’m better off back here, thank you very much.” Cleopatra hovered off the ground, body tense like she was ready to rocket away at the first sign of trouble. “I need to help.” Fifi pushed against the barrier, but it didn’t budge. “Is there anything you can even do against that?” Cleopatra asked. Fifi just stared, searching for an answer and afraid she didn’t have one.
