Whats your take on this calc, giving Bleach up to Mach 26K:
The speed of Mimihagi. This feat appears to be discussed controversial, as such I will go a little deeper in my explainings.
I will split the calculation in 2 steps. FInding the distance and finding the speed. In both steps I will take into account and explain why I believe certain approaches on the matter are not applicable and result in a possible inflated or deflated result. Then I will give an alternative solution and conclusion.
1: Finding the distance from the Soul Kings Palace to Seireitei.
The distance from the Soul King Palace to the SoulSociety is the distance of Ichigo using Shunpo for 7 days.
The most straightforward calculation were to use Ichigos speed in Shunpo and scale it linear up to a weeks usage.
This method is not applicable for the following reasons:
a) It would use calc stacking, namely using the found (apparently MHS) speed of Ichigo as the base foundation of the feat, inflating the first part (distance) of the calc by a great margin, and disqualifying the second part of the calculation – calculations resorting to these methods are not allowed and rightfully so
b) It was not said the use of Shunpo is 24/7 without rest. It goes against the verses setting to use a short burst technique for the equivalence of 168 hours. For reference: Ichigo can use treadmill and run for 5 days in one go – however the regular movement speed is lower than the Shunpo speed, which reaches MHS speeds.
c) The person in question does not know Ichigo enough to give a qualified input on his Stamina, Speed, Power Fluctuations and so forth.
If the Shunpo-Calculation is the one extreme, what is the other extreme?
Contrary to the artificially inflating due to using non-applicable methods, there exists the artificial deflation of the feat, disregarding any inverse ruling, showing or logical reason. This includes using a regular „Days Journey“ for the feat and multiplying it by the number 7.
This method is not applicable fort he following reasons:
a) A days journey is the amount of distance a regular human were able to walk in a casual way, including brakes, change in weather conditions and terrain
b) It disregards the surrounding of Ichigo having to move there as fast as possible given the urgency of the situation
c) It disregards the fact that Ichigo can provenly run without breaks for 5 days straight
d) There are no worsening conditions in terrain or weather
To give everyone an idea how different - and similary flawed – both extremes are, I actually went ahead and scaled them:
Flawed Method to inflate the distance using Ichigos Shunpo at base, standard vsbwiki MHS:
440.000 m/s x 604800 seconds = 266112000000 m = 266.112.000 KM – or 1.584.000 km per hour scaled to 7 days.
Almost twice as many kilometers distance between the Palace and the SS than between Sun and Earth.
Flawed Method to deflate the distance using a regulars Days Journey:
32KM Days Journey x 7 days travel = 224 KM – or 1.3 kilometer per hour scaled to 7 days.
Barely a weekend trip distance between the Palace and the SS.
Finding an alternative solution:
Neither of the aforementioned 1KM/h nor 1.5 Million KM/h are suitable values to use for a logical calculation. However there is one critical angle in the panel which allows, together with inverse knowledge for an alternative solution.
In this panel we see a clear linear downwards directed stair. Why is this important?
While we do not use the Shunpo as a form of distance measurement, it allows us to use the techniques traits – which is a direct, linear and forward directed movement.
Going by the panel in question, Ichigo using Shunpo would not run around the stairs in circles, but hop from edge to – on a subjacent level – edge.
Since we are specifically not using Shunpo, we have to find a similar, downwards directed, linear movement to use as a substitute – best one without a value inflating or deflating.
The solution: Using a regular humans body freefall.
With 147 m/s we have a real life value for freefall. However this is the absolute peak a human has ever reached and was since then not replicated. It simply is used as an indicator that regular people with no specific abilities manage to reach such free falling speeds.
Instead we will use the regular free fall speed, which is 55m/s as if Ichigo were to be dropped next to the stairs and linerary falls down.
55m/s x 604800 seconds = 33264000 m = 33264KM – or 198km per hour scaled to 7 days.
A reasonable distance and a KM/h speed roughly comparable with a regular modern car going on moderate speeds.
However: I mentioned Ichigo being able to run regulary for 5 days straight – not 7. As such I will present another value, which decreases the distance from 7 days to 5, but still requires the entire week.
55m/s x 432000 = 23760000 m = 23760KM – or 141km per hour scaled to 7 days.
In the calculation we do not use the inflated Shunpo Method as means of movement.
In the calculation we use the canon confirmed number of 5 days straight running.
In the calculation we use a regular humans speed as means of distance measurement, since it closely resembles the edge-to-edge straight line movement from Shunpo without the flawed calc-stacking
In the calculation we end up with a footspeed of 141KM/H which is roughly triple as much as real-life Usain Bolt, who hangs at 45KM/H.
We have found our reasonable distance.
For the high end we will use the 147m/s since we are allowed to use actual, real life, peak human stats as reference points and will actively use the full 7 days.
147m/s x 604800 = 88905600 m = 88905,6 KM – or 529KM per hour scaled to 7 days.
Still a very reasonable result, comparing it with actual real life means of movement and distance coverage.
Step 2: Finding the speed of Mimihagi
First we need to find the time, Mimihagi needed to reach the Soul Kings Palace.
We have no given statement or ballpark how long Mimihagi took to reach the palace we could orientate us on, . like we have for example in other feats
Instead we have to take the usual approach with reasonable in-verse setting as high end, middleground and typical yet unrealistic famous low end.
Low end: 60 seconds
Value 1: 23760000 m / 60 seconds = 396000 m/s = 1163,7 mach
Value 2: 88905600 m / 60 seconds = 1481760 m/s = 4354,4 mach
Mid end: 30 seconds
Value 1: 23760000 m / 30 seconds = 792000 m/s = 2327,4 mach
Value 2: 88905600 m / 30 seconds = 2963520 m/s = 8708,8 mach
High end: 10 seconds
Value 1: 23760000 m / 10 seconds = 2376000 m/s = 6982,2 mach
Value 2: 88905600 m / 10 seconds = 8890560 m/s = 26126,4 mach
Mimihagi travels to the SKP: 1163,7 mach - 26126,4 mach
What remains is to find which value is the most likely scenario given the verses settings.
We agree that using the lowest possible result does not always makes sense in the verses setting. Which is something I agree on in particular in this specific case. Assigning the speed of a regular human to Ichigo, purposedly sticking to absolute outperformed abiility (5 day running) from many upgrades and arcs ago as well as the visual appearance of the feat from Mimihagi traveling the entire distance make me believe that the low end Value as well as Value 1 should not be considered here.
On the other hand, we have no clear statement or other supporting feat for now – as such simply using the absolute high-end is also something I feel would not feel appropriate.
But wait: We just had a similar case for another verse – Nanatsu no Taizai. A calced result yielded in a new tier (6) for the verse. However we have been unsure whether to apply it or not. But once we got another, supporting feat calced which results in the same tier, we applied the changes.
I got asked to take a look at 2 other feats for Bleach. Depending on how they result, the usage oft he High end might be justified, if they are supporting each other.
Until then: I propose to use the conservative Mid End Value 2.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
