In my case, would say 2018 was a literal roller coaster ride. Had a rough time with the nursing home job I had as such where I chose to leave it in March when they were going to replace me. Things got better by July when I got my pharmacy biller job and passed both my certification exams, but then dipped again last month when I found out the pharmacy was going out of business due to the state pharmacy board suspending its license. Now back to trying to find yet another job.
Someday I’ll be gone To somewhere that we belong And God has never played his role 'Cause I’m the one who saves my soul It’s a perfect world we’re longing for
For me, it was rough financially. Finally found a new job as a pharmacy technician after working 7 to 8 years at the restaurant, all my college years. Wasn't really sure what career after changing major 3 times. Ironically I work in the area I fail to become, a pharmacist.
Seeing my father lose his job due to his health deteriorating was a nightmare. And seeing how messy fighting for worker comp. I can't really leave the home. Had to be the 2nd source of income for the family of 4 other siblings.
I still try to be active in Anime Vice. NOw, it is just night time for week days and most of weekends.
Oh wait one more thing. I was really proud of this. I did an internship gathering data for minority male youth suicide prevention and mentor. It is a harsh problem. I saw the boys grow up and become future role models. Respect people and make a difference. I wish I had that during when I was in high school.
Oh yes, my high school reunion went well. Everyone has a blast. Made the kids smile.
Those are the things I am proud of doing last year.
Found my soul mate. We met during my one-year at the Nysc. In the Month of January to be precise. I can just tell she's the one, my gut feeling tells me so. That's the best thing that happened to me last year.

Bowsette, Goblin Slayer rock social media - tumblr and Steam went ape shit on Hentai people hard to find a home to share H w/ people w/o censorship LOL lost Sonata but then Sonata came back anyway
2018 was pretty bad news on my end in terms of real life, especially with struggling with my own time management as well as being brutalized by the job market the whole way through and it even caused some clients that I had on the design area either being cancelled or even getting angry with me and causing me to be kicked from a server at the worst case. I went to MomoCon and my first DragonCon, which were the fun parts, but was unable to chronicle them due to my time management problem at the time. Hearing my folks basically wanting me to be a workhorse with a 22-hour-a-day schedule did not help me one bit and deliberately triggering my phobia that I've been struggling with for my whole life are far from the only sins they committed to have me less close to them than already possible, but that's an essay for another day and time, more personal gripes aside.
However, in terms of gaming and anime, it was pretty fun, even though I was damn sloppy on the anime viewing department and not only that I ended up with a few role models that changed my rather grim outlook on life into a far better one, but I also ended up getting to not only be in a podcast, but also do their visuals and thumbnails when their old graphic designer went MIA after an unfinished drawing. It not only got me to reconnect with some old buddies, but I also got to have fun with it alongside my antics at Anime Vice and the Discord servers for AV and the partner server, ADW. Overall, it was mostly a good year in terms of the internet, but very lacking in terms of real life with the friend and convention exceptions.
Last Edit: Jan 16, 2019 2:22:48 GMT by Master Menos: Spelling and grammar corrections. My apologies.
Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)

Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.
Feb 15, 2020 16:50:30 GMT
Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...
