Goku is an absolute martial arts prodigy. His thoroughly uncanny talent for combat stems from his Saiyan heritage, which was nurtured at a young age primarily by his adopted grandfather Son Gohan, and his later master Muten Roshi. On top of said talent, Goku's Saiyan physiology accelerates his muscular development at a supernatural pace, dramatically increasing his strength and speed as he continues to train and fight.
These factors, combined with Goku's own enormous dedication and strict ethics towards practising martial arts, built him into a fighter of beyond-phenomenal power and skill, having completely surpassed Muten Roshi, an immortal legend of martial arts with over 300 hundred years of experience, at the young age of 15.
Goku is a practitioner of Kame-style martial arts. In battle, he starts by gauging the opposition's capabilities, analysing their techniques and combat methodology, formulating counterattacks in accordance, then quickly wearing them down his with his immense skill, strength, and speed, utilising his arsenal of special techniques where necessary.
Before training on Kami's Lookout, Goku also used to wield a magical extending staff, the Nyoibō, in combat, and with impressive proficiency despite his age.
When not flying under his own power to save energy, Goku rides his Kinto'un, a magical cloud granted to him by Muten Roshi, which only those with wholly pure hearts could mount.
Even as a child, Goku's body was (and still is) so sturdy that bullets, axes, grenades, and even speeding cars, could barely harm him.
At 12 years of age, he could push massive boulders, and jump hundreds of metres into the air. At 15 years of age, he once swam from Yahhoi to Papaya Island within a day. To put this into perspective, these two location are on opposite sides of the world:
As a young adult, he could throw Piccolo in his giant form over his shoulder with ease, and endure energy blasts capable of razing islands at point blank. His jumping ability also improved immensely, being able to leap far past the cloud layer in a single bound.
Complimenting his great endurance and strength are his incredible speed and reflexes. He could dodge and deflect bullets effortlessly after training with Muten Roshi, vanish from the sights of even the greatest martial artists in the world, leave behind several afterimages, and carry out battles within fractions of a second. After training with Master Karin, he even outpaced Taopaipai, who could move at speeds over Mach 80 (see threads linked at the top).
By the time he participated in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai tournament, he became so fast not even Kami's eyes could track his movements.
Adding to these qualities is the bizarre nature of his lungs, as he's capable of exhaling powerful bursts of air that could stop his momentum in mid-air, fooling his opponents into dropping their guards if necessary. Also, thanks to Kami's training, Goku's lungs have adapted to functioning at altitudes where the atmosphere is extremely thin, which in turn also made him optimise his movements in combat, expending the least amount of energy possible during a fight.
Likely by virtue of his Saiyan physiology, Goku is also quite resistant to poisoning, having survived drinking a full cup of the deadly Super Water of the Gods, where several mighty martial artists before him had attempted to do so, and died.
Goku has multi-faceted superhuman sensory capabilities. He could accurately track an individual's residual scent from afar, and see farther than a human could at ground-level. Even prior to his training with his later masters, he could sense the presence of both living and non-living entities (e.g. robots) in his vicinity, as well as detect incoming threats.
Since the age of 15, he could sense and pinpoint chi signatures across the entire globe. After training on Kami's Lookout, his senses became so refined he could detect/"feel" and accurately read the movements of bodies around him independently of his vision and hearing.
Goku was born with a tail due to his Saiyan heritage. If he looks at a full moon, he would transform into a mighty and berserk Great Ape, a process which can be undone either by cutting his tail off, or destroying the moon.
Initially, Goku's tail was a weak-point, where, if squeezed, he'd be robbed of his strength. By the time he turned 15 years-old, he overcame that Achilles heel by training his tail. He could also fly with it in a limited fashion like a helicopter.
After his potential was unlocked by drinking the Super Water of the Gods, it seems that Goku had gained the ability to call on the power of the Great Ape without having to transform, channelling into his attacks, as he did in his final showdown against Demon King Piccolo.
Sometime during his training on the Lookout, his tail was permanently removed by Kami, so he could restore the moon without risking Goku transforming into a Great Ape.
Goku has the ability to manipulate his own chi, his innate spiritual energy, for a variety of applications, whether it's channelling it towards performing his techniques, control the strength of his body, or release blasts of energy, etc.
It also seems to grant him the mysterious ability to physically interact with bodies of energy as if they were solid, being to deflect chi blasts with his bare hands.
Mimicry: True to his status as a martial arts genius, Goku is capable of copying any given technique on-sight. Indeed, a good part of his arsenal consists of techniques he had copied from other fighters, such as the Kamehameha, the Taiyōken, and the Zanzōken.
Kamehameha: Goku's signature technique. A mighty blast of energy in the form of a continuous stream released from the user's hands, carrying behind it significant destructive power. Thanks to his refined control over chi, Goku could impart elastic properties onto the stream, making it travel like a whip, capable of bending sharply around an enemy's defenses and striking them in the back, or have it home-in on them.
He had developed a an upgraded version, the Super Kamehameha, with far more power and range behind it than normal.
Taiyōken: The user releases an extremely intense flash of light from their body, blinding everyone in their vicinity.
Zanzōken: The user moves so quick that they leave afterimages behind, fooling their enemies into attacking mirages of themselves. Goku's proficiency with this technique allows him to chain the creation of multiple afterimages, where, in case an enemy would think they have figured out where he really is, they would be met by yet another mirage in place, a second, third, and even a fourth time, and so on.
Bukūjutsu: Allows the user to freely fly and levitate.
Hasshūken: Copied from King Chappa. The user moves their arms at high speeds, such that they leave behind 8 solid afterimages, increasing their offensive and defensive capabilities considerably, as well as confusing their opponents.
Shockwave Fist: The user punches the air with so much force that they launch powerful shockwaves from their fist.
Also, I saw claims on other sites claiming that Papaya Island is the size of a "small continent", citing some anon's translation of a passage in Daizenshuu 4 as evidence. I have translated all passages mentioning Papaya Island in Daizenshuu 4 myself, with original JP text written out, and there's no mention of PI's size whatsoever, so that is false.
If anyone is interested, I can post them here with the original pages.
Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
Feb 11, 2020 2:11:38 GMT
Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.
Feb 15, 2020 16:50:30 GMT
Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...
