Synopsis: With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold.
It is now the year 2577 and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs and claim back Mars
According to issue 50 of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump seinen manga magazine, Yū Sasuga's science fiction manga turned TV anime Terraformars is receiving a sequel series entitled Terraformars Revenge. The series is scheduled to begin broadcast in Japan in April of 2016.
Terraformars Revenge will feature direction by Michio Fukuda and animation by Liden Films and TYO animation. Naruhisa Arukawa will provide the series composition, while Atsushi Ikaryia and Cagetzu Aizawa will provide the character designs.
Taka I watched the uncensored Terraformars while it was available. Liked it more due to being more true to the original story, not to mention it's more realistic. It's on these kind of horror series that censorship usually deminishes the quality quite a bit, though in the case of terraformars it didn't. The changes between both were noticeable but didn't bother much.
So while i hope the second season is uncensored i wouldn't mind a censored version of almost equal quality.
Sorry for the late reply. Been working all over the site today since it's the first day of the month.
I forgot the reasons or parts I hate about Terra Formars. I did like the anime but there were parts I dislike. I think it was the pacing after episode 2 or 3. Plus, there was a joke about how the show is like Animal Planet where it explains animals/bugs/organisms for each character. I didn't mind that since I love zoology.
One thing I remember I hated was killings of characters before we sympathized with them. I really like this one character for some odd reason.
Taka I wonder till where the second season will go, though i think i got a general idea of where it'll stop. And yeah i know all the upcoming plot twists as well though i might still enjoy the anime, as long as it's good as the first season and not too censored i'm perfectly fine with it. The only series where i find the anime certainly better than the manga is assassination classroom, they skip out on a bit but the anime manages to get the jokes over better. Talking about that series though, it got darker as well although still nowhere close to the level of Terra Formars. We actually got an on-panel death in the manga, though i won't spoil whose.
I find the anime for FMA, both series, enjoyable than the manga and Kuroko's Basketball. That's all I can think of. Not for story but in terms of art style, Attack on Titan and Toriko looks better in anime than manga. The only time I find an anime ugly than the manga was Soul Eater. I hate how the noses are drawn in the anime.
For Terra Formars, yeah the censorship is a weird thing. Did you know Akame ga Kill wasn't censored at all? I know you and Taichokage talked about this. It could have been the studio, the network, or the time it's aired in Japan. Crunchyroll did stream the uncensored version that wasn't aired in Japan but released on BD and DVD.
If you want uncensored, you have to wait a bit. I rewatch the whole season 1 uncensored after it was available.
Taka: I remember watching Devils' Line. I can't remember any issues I had. I have to look at my comments.

Old Man Dream: One of those familiar vampire stories in a modern setting where the male lead hates himself because of his vampiric nature and is in love with a human woman. The execution of the whole story is pretty clumsy and from what I gather, the anime is...

Old Man Dream: ...rushing through 40 chapters of manga material to fit into 12 anime episodes. Definitely shows with how quickly it's creaming through events, with the main couple being bland between angsty male vampire and the human female devoted to him.

Old Man Dream: Besides that plot, said male lead's involved with a secret government agency tasked with controlling vampires that give into their bloodlust.

Old Man Dream: And adding more insult to injury, the new Injustice animated movie is a big mess.

Taka: I read through my comments. Bloodlust and rapes along with innuendos. The romance I never mentioned of - with the details you mentioned - I remembered now it was pretty bad.

Old Man Dream: I'm thankfully pretty far in the series. Just have 3 more episodes, which I should get taken care of by tomorrow evening. Kind of regret thinking this would be a good title to dabble into for Halloween.

Taka: Didn't catch the Injustice movie. Waiting for it to be digitally available. That's a shame.

Old Man Dream: The movie got leaked online a week early before its release date. The negative reception to it, especially with how regarded the comic book and video game versions of Injustice are, got me curious to see how bad it was. I won't spoil things unlike most...

Old Man Dream: ...folks are unfortunately doing. But I'll just say that it both tries cramming too much into an 80-minute film and alters things rather heavily compared to the game and comics.
Oct 15, 2021 9:19:07 GMT
Taka: That is a shame considering they split Long Halloween into two parts. I guess with Injustice, you are appealing to 3 groups: the video game folks, the comic book folks, and then the new fans.
Oct 16, 2021 5:59:49 GMT
Old Man Dream: It sounds like you're assuming the games and comics run separate stories. The video game series serves as the main story of the franchise, while the comics serve as prequel or interquel to expand on and fill in the details on events that weren't...

Taka: Thanks for the correction. For some reason I thought the video game was loosely based on the comic books and treated the two as separate stories. With fighting games, I assumed they had more flexibility due to different endings.
