S2EP20 Alpha Mika always delivers blond girl:"Im your enemy" Mika:"Who the hell decided that?" Escanor vibes! Amazing fights here and there, the last part was intense, I got so pissed when Shino missed (not because of it being his fault but because it was their only chance I really wanted Iok to bite the dust) and then he dies.... one of our boys dies yet again..... despite missing, you will be missed.
I feel they should have wrote the set up a bit better because it feels Tekkadan gets itself involved for no good reason just to help McGillis settle a grudge match with Galileo
If McGillis ties of what happens to Tekkadan and their struggle with Ghallahorn from the beginning, Biscuit, Akihiro's adopted brother, Lafter, were alled killed indirectly because of Rustal, it would feel more personal by both parties
Tekkadan being used as scapegoats. from a certain point of view, you could make a case for them being terrorists. I mean Zack tries to leave but is met with anger and guilt so not really an organization where one can leave so easily.
group hug with Kudelia, Atra, and Mika. baby making talk.
Orga dealing with the consequences of his actions and more conflicting things of everyone having a lot of trust in Orga but that just adds more pressure on him, especially since McGillis is more using him rather than a mutual partnership, which he is not realizing.
He said he never betray Galileo (their relationship became strained after the defeat) yet he tries to hand him over to Rustal
While Orga has development, some of it felt kind of strange but I guess because the show doesn't really make Rustal a personal enemy to Orga but more to Galileo which makes the fight not Tekkadan's thing
Tekkadan should know from the beginning of season 1, their enemies have been Ghallahorn
Season 2 isn't good with me as motives don't feel match up as Tekkadan is used by Galileo to settle a blood grudge when both parties have a common enemy,
who indirectly or directly caused Lafter's death, Akihiro's brother, Kudelia's secretary, Biscuit, it was pretty much Ghallahorn (can't never spell the name right) and probably Rustal
Anyways, I was shocked to learn Atra and Mika had sex
1) when? 2) how? Mika is disabled and his spikes from his spine and these two are so young. how did they know how to do it? 3) wished we had a implied sex scene 4) did Kudelia agree to Atra's harem thing. I couldn't believe Atra (blame Naze for this since harem became okay with her) Wow, polygamy - this has been amusing
1. Guessing sometime between episodes 14 and 20 of this season. If you recall, Atra popped the baby question to Kudelia in episode 13 when she feared Mikazuki was eventually going to kill himself if he kept pushing things with Barbatos. 2. While Mikazuki's not likely to know how thanks to being raised as a child soldier nearly his whole life, Atra likely has intricate knowledge of doing the deed thanks to her former life of working in a strip club. 3. Closest Gundam's done an implied scene was with Kira and Flay from Gundam SEED. 4. Not too likely as she was just as dumbstruck over the thinking of the two. But she's agreed to be the child's godmother in the event that Mikazuki is killed in the final episodes of the series. And guessing Atra got the harem idea thanks to seeing Naze's antics with his ladies.
I did not enjoy the ep too much, I wasnt surprised with Atra kissing Mika, tho in my mind at the time I was thinking why would she do that infront of Kudelia? thats a lil too harsh, but then Kudelia puts a smack on Mika as well.... my reaction on that scene.... not because of the weird polygamy thing, but because of Kudelia being fine with it.... Surprisingly I wasnt that pissed when Orga died, I was more pissed with Lafter kicking the bucket, probably because Orga dying this episode was obvious with how the events happened, especially that walk in the hall scene, that was ominous, while Lafter's death came outta nowhere. Taka, 2. They probably did it inside Barbatos and Atra was probably teaching Mika how to do it, she was working in a club before as a helper, I still find it odd since obviously Atra was just a kid back then, and I doubt those people did it out in the open for a lil kid to see, but well this is Gundam, Im fairly sure they did the deed, Mika dying and leaving the kid with Atra and Kudelia... polygamy goes south and turns yuri in the end with Atra X Kudelia. 3. Im ok without one, not really a fan of these kids doing the deed this early and being flippant with all this, Mika probably doesnt even know how romantic love feels like, he just went with the flow. (Atra's just 16y/o, whats worst is she looks like a kid) 4. Not really sure but with how she was hugging Mika with Atra and them holding hands in the process, also kissing Mika equally, I think she's cool with the idea, those kids probably rubbed off some of that harem shiz on her.
Didn't expect Orga to die honestly. Well, they sure love their shooting gangsta method. They did the same thing to Lafter. I didn't see any dead flags either.
this episode fleshes out how Mika and McGillis or Orga are opposite.
McGillis doesn't know the value of friends. He was truly lonely from the start. He finally come out to say I'm using you guys to settle my personal dispute. Same with Orga, too. The two are finally honest with each other. Well, Orga left out he tried to turn him in.
Mika - this might be a flaw since he doesn't do anything unless Orga orders him
so what would happen now. Speaking of Mika, my god, I didn't know Kudelia would actually state she loves him. He gets two beautiful women kiss him goodbye
Out of all the Tekkadan folks, Mika is quite a stud.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)

Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...

Dream: ...manipulation last week.
