Those One Piece noodle commercials are really popular.
They did a rendition on Vivi, whom I think is a very popular female One Piece character.
In spring, Cup Noodle launched its "Hungry Days" animated ad campaign focusing on the One Piece characters in school uniforms, leaving fans "hungry" for more. Since then, Cup Noodle has released two ads focusing on Zoro and Nami's school days. The third ad, which was released online on Friday, focuses on Vivi and her heartbreaking departure from her friends after transferring to a new school.
The ad shows flashbacks of Vivi's high school life with her Straw Hat friends. When the time comes for her to depart, her friends send her a video of themselves doing the iconic pose from the manga where they raise their arms in the air with their backs turned to Vivi. In this ad, however, they're holding cup noodle packets as a symbol of their friendship.
The 30-second ad features over 50 One Piece characters - see if you can spot all the cameos.
Like the previous ads, manga artist Eisaku Kubonouchi (Chocolat, Carole & Tuesday) redesigned Eiichiro Oda's iconic characters. Kubonouchi also redesigned Studio Ghibli's Kiki, the titular Heidi, Girl of the Alps, and Sazae-san in previous Cup Noodle ads. The ad's music is provided by the band BUMP OF CHICKEN, and the production studio is SHAFT.
In 2017, Cup Noodle launched its "Hungry Days" ad campaign, a series of commercials that starred famous anime characters at the precipice of their youth to invoke a specific, nostalgic feeling. The previous "Hungry Days" campaign concluded with a romantic confession against an apocalyptic backdrop.
This was nothing new. Most people see it coming since it's way too early for Luffy to beat any Yonko. It's not like Bleach where Ichigo climbed quickly up the power ladder and remain there.
Oh the Sea Stone. Law or Strawman said something interesting. In Wano, it's the origin of the Sea Prism.
Yes the sea stone originate from wano.
Wano people are the super craftman of the one piece world. They as samurai make the best katanas, they also makes different types of sea stone objects, including the poneglyph which were madw during the void century.
Yeah, luffy was put in his place. It's 1 thing to be defeated, but to be one shotted is a horrible experience. It reminds you of the fact that, no matter how hard you would have tried, you simply stood no chance
Wasn't sure if we took a detour into another filler arc or mini canon arc. One Piece's cast is way too big. It was good the anime covers other characters briefly of what they are doing concurrently to the main plot.
One Piece isn't dark but the revelation of Absalom's death is too brief. Though, the young kids who haven't watched Thriller Bark won't get much sympathy for his death. Or even older casual fans. I don't remember him much.
Blackbeard appears with his bounty. We haven't seen him for a very long time in terms of anime production. He's a very opportunistic guy, demonstrated in Paramount War where his goons lay the finishing blow to a weaken, worn down Whitebeard to steal the Devil Fruit power. He's waiting for everyone to crush themselves while he steals the King of Pirates title.
He's somehow luring Devil Fruit users and killing them to obtain their powers.
Latest episode's biggest attraction was Big Mom coming which was towards the end unfortunately. That's normal. Everything else before was filler ish. Some help flesh some of our new characters. Orochi is an alcoholic and women tyrant.
Though I wonder if having Big Mom here will hurt this arc especially since this is Kaido, the arc's main villain's spotlight.
One Piece Stampede should have more hype because unlike past films, it features a lot more characters from the canon anime/manga other than Luffy's gang and Sabo. The animation should be better as it uses Wano Arc's animation engine.
If you had the opportunity to choose a team to be a crossover with One Piece from DC or Marvel, who would you choose,
The X-Men or the Teen Titans?
Both actually. Bcos, teen titans have the same goofy comedy strawhats have plus their powers would fit well. Since one piece have, pacifista which is cyborg, zoans devil fruits which is beast boy, Robbin more like ussop.
X-man, could bring the seriousness and organization of the marines. Plus devil fruits users are basically mutants like the X-man. I see them as a crew members of a warlord.
Taka: As for anime business, I'll work on the Spring 2020 anime stuff this weekend. I will finish up the Winter 2020 banners. My apologies. I thought I will out of work due to the virus outbreak. I'm glad I'm still working at the pharmacy
