We should probably continue our discussion from the chat box here. What I said:
The problems with Sailor Moon Crystal is the rushed storyline. It won't help new folks get into Sailor Moon. However, older fans won't like it because it doesn't build the story or characters well. The animation has issues (some folks don't mind it) while the faces are less emotionally and doll like.
We should also copy and paste what kanzaki: had said, too.
Crystal by far improves on the original Sailor Moon, but only in the sense that it's more faithful to its source. One mistake it makes is replicating and redoing the moods to the dot, which makes for a fairly boring run not unlike the original. Consider the new run to be a beautified variation of the old
To revive the franchise and help new fans get into the franchise after many of years of not having new material. It's the same thing you have for the new Digimon Adventure Tri and Dragon Ball Super. Promote the franchise, keep the old fans attached, and get new fans after a long period of wait for those popular anime franchises.
Sailor Moon Crystal Gets 3rd Season on Death Busters
The final episode of the second Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal anime season aired on Monday, and the anime's website announced that production on a third season for the Death Busters arc has been green-lit. The new season will assemble all 10 Senshi — specifically, the popular outer Senshi such as Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Saturn will join Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Moon, and the others. The new season will adapt the arc from the fifth and sixth volumes of the complete edition of Naoko Takeuchi's original Sailor Moon manga.
The 20th anniversary project site for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon franchise today announced that the third season of the Sailor Moon Crystal reboot web anime is set for a premiere in Japan this spring. It will be based on the manga's Death Busters arc told in the fifth and sixth volume of the perfect edition. The 26-episode first two seasons were streamed biweekly from July 2014 to July 2015, then aired on TV weekly from April to September 2015.
In place of the first two seasons' Munehisa Sakai, Chiaki Kon serves as series director for the third season. She is best known as the director of the TV anime adaptations of Shungiku Nakamura's popular boys love manga series, Junjo Romantica (2008-2015) and Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (2011-2014). Akira Takahashi, whose most known works are character designs for two PreCure series, Suite PreCure♪ (2011-2012) and Dokidoki PreCure! (2013-2014), works on character designs, previously helmed by Yukie Sakou. Yuji Kobayashi stays as series composition writer. Toei Animation continues
to work on anime production.

Taka: I remember watching Devils' Line. I can't remember any issues I had. I have to look at my comments.

Old Man Dream: One of those familiar vampire stories in a modern setting where the male lead hates himself because of his vampiric nature and is in love with a human woman. The execution of the whole story is pretty clumsy and from what I gather, the anime is...

Old Man Dream: Besides that plot, said male lead's involved with a secret government agency tasked with controlling vampires that give into their bloodlust.

Old Man Dream: And adding more insult to injury, the new Injustice animated movie is a big mess.

Taka: I read through my comments. Bloodlust and rapes along with innuendos. The romance I never mentioned of - with the details you mentioned - I remembered now it was pretty bad.

Old Man Dream: I'm thankfully pretty far in the series. Just have 3 more episodes, which I should get taken care of by tomorrow evening. Kind of regret thinking this would be a good title to dabble into for Halloween.

Taka: That is a shame considering they split Long Halloween into two parts. I guess with Injustice, you are appealing to 3 groups: the video game folks, the comic book folks, and then the new fans.

Old Man Dream: It sounds like you're assuming the games and comics run separate stories. The video game series serves as the main story of the franchise, while the comics serve as prequel or interquel to expand on and fill in the details on events that weren't...

Taka: Thanks for the correction. For some reason I thought the video game was loosely based on the comic books and treated the two as separate stories. With fighting games, I assumed they had more flexibility due to different endings.
