We don't have discussion threads on films. I thought maybe we could discuss on a review thread. I didn't put spoilers. I put casual since I'm not reviewing the show as in-depth compared to other reviews.
Today, the film was available on Crunchyroll, January 16, 2016, for the following territories: worldwide except for Asia.
Here's the synopsis:
Brilliant rays of colorful light float in a space devoid of gravity – “The Box of Wisdom.” A space inhabited by multiple worlds, countless timelines and a diversity of people, where Dual and Dorothy battle the enemy – viruses encroaching on the world. A world infected by a virus must be deleted.
This is Dual and Dorothy’s responsibility and job. One day, Dual and Dorothy discover a new virus attacking a girl. They save the girl and quietly wait for her to awaken.Who is she? Where did she come from? Where will she go? The girl finally awakens. She calls herself “Remo” and has only one thing to say: “I have to return to the flower garden…” Via Crunchyroll
Your charming cast:
For those who have heard or watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the film has some definite influences from this franchise. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is very renowned series that had a lasting impact on magical girl shows and other shows in the anime industry. For this film, things are not what they seem to be. The film has a dark secret and a message about how we view ourselves which is great for this film to live on and be interpreted in different views. It still has the carefree and happy feeling. The girls who are essentially AIs but are more like magical girls combating viruses. With Remo, they start to feel "human."
I end at that part before I spoil folks. As for the art and music, it's beautiful and vibrant while the atmosphere of the show is conveyed well through these colors especially things turn bad. Character design - girls are a bit young to represent how they are growing. There are pandering male gaze in this film
Lastly, I recommend this film to anyone who like magical girls. Honestly, I can't think of any audience.
Thank you everyone for reading. I didn't go as in depth, but I hope you enjoy the film if you find it interesting to try.
Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
