Note: This is part of the XIV Days of Darkness reviewing mini-series. This review is for Day IV and contains very mild spoilers.
Strawberry Marshmallow is a 12-episode slice-of-life comedy and moe series that follows the daily lives of five girls: each with their own quirks and attributes.
Storyline Like many slice-of-life series, this one doesn't have a story, if at all and can mainly be about the characters instead. The show did have some fun events, but to a point since they're common in such anime. Characters This show's biggest characters in humor (and in general) were in the following order: Miu, Nobue and Ana. The opposite order of these three with the exception of Miu and replacement with Matsuri is for the cutest characters in the show. Poor Chika and Matsuri are not that memorable here, if at all and Miu passes off as seriously annoying in many instances here.
Pros and Cons The animation and art style are well done, even for a series that's over 10 years old as of this review. Some jokes and gags in the show still manage to hold up too and so does a lot of the moe factor for those heavily into the sub-genre. The show's mood still feels calm for some select episodes.
However, a lot of episodes end up being dull in the process, and that will put off viewers of the show, especially for those not used to or especially being introduced to slice-of-life shows. The English Dub of the show is also lost in translation for the "English" parts spoken in the Japanese Dub from Ana trying to strengthen her rusty English from living in Japan for so long due to her social anxiety. Final Verdict After viewing this with my head together from taking off the nostalgia glasses, I give this a 6/10. It is still a cutesy feel-good comedy anime to me, but there are still more series of the sub-genre that outclass Strawberry Marshmallow by miles these days.
Current Situation: I wanted another excuse to use Enterprise as an avatar again.
Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
