But when he is saved by a mysterious, silver-haired girl with a fairy cat, Subaru cooperates with her to return the favor. When they finally manage to get a clue, Subaru and the girl are attacked and killed by someone. Beyond the despair, can he save the girl from the fate of death?
If you want to find out what's coming out this season, we completed the Spring 2016 Anime Guide albeit without the Winter 2016 leftovers. I'm not sure what's going to keep running right now. I'm still keeping an eye on updates. We got word on one show being postponed, Rage of Bahamut: Manaria Friends. This show is safe since it has a simulcast.
Ep.1: it was split into two parts and I really enjoyed it. Kid gets transported to a fantasy world and is actually aware of his situation. The only thing he doesn't realize he's stuck in a ground hog's day scenario every time he dies. This held my interest better then Endride
See Crunchyroll divide the hour special into two episodes. First episode focused on Satella while the 2nd focused on another retake that introduces Felt and the old man. The tone of the show went dramatic after he and Satella were killed.
Enjoyed the pilot. Milked some tropes nicely. Protagonist was trying to force cliches in and was aware of what it was due to his gamer. He is not your regular NEET, he trains. Too bad, he doesn't know he is in a time loop.
EP1, A neet that trains his body! now thats something new lol. I loved this episode, the twists, the blood! the animation! the characters! the ed song. This is now my anime of the season! Spring is looking good so far.
Some news: the show is getting spin-off in a chibi short format
The official website for the Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- (Re: Life in a different world from zero or Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) television anime series announced on Thursday that the series will get a spinoff of anime shorts that will air after each episode's airing on the AT-X channel. The short, titled Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time, will feature the characters from the anime in super-deformed form.
The shorts will start after the first episode premieres on AT-X on April 8. The shorts will then stream on the show's official site for a limited time afterward.
Ep.2: hey Subaru found out he's stuck in ac time loop within the first couple of minutes of the episode and is already attempting to use what he knows to get the insigna back and and prevent people from being killed. Got introduced to a new character too
2nd episode = protagonist doesn't know he's in a time loop yet. If he plays games, how come he has never play a game with time skip stuff. A new character was introduced. 3rd Cycle - protagonist dies in an alley. 4th cycle - met a knight. Didn't befriend silver elf girl. Went to Felt instead again but things changed. Instead of Elsa appearing for the deal, it was the silver elf. Though, Elsa might come back later in the next episode.
2nd episode - I wished things resolve a bit quicker since we have first episode an hour long.
The short shows Subaru, Emilia, and Puck beside a market stall, with Subaru remarking that he cannot read the words on the signs. Emilia, surprised at Subaru's penniless state, asks him how he even got to this world, and he answers "in a fantasy-ish light novel-y way." Subaru comments that at least some of the terms in use in his new world are somewhat similar to Japanese, though with something off about them. When a bell pepper falls from one of the stands, Emilia reacts unusually, and Subaru asks her what's wrong. She says that she cannot eat bell peppers, as they are green demons.
It was a thrilling episode. The only flaws were consistency in animation. Until Reinhard came in, the animation spiked up in quality as Elsa reveals her full potential and Reinhard showing a sample of his power.
Cliffhanger - Why did Reinhard react that way when Felt presented Emilia's insignia? It leaves you with questions.
Ep 3 was good, and had a decent animation. What I find weird is whats with Stella or Emila or whatever her real name is, would lie to Subaru about her name? it seems her real name is Emilia so who's Stella the jealous witch? other than that amazing ending that left us with more questions. Also I hope Subaru stops with the weird poses he makes, its creeping the hell outta me.
Taka: I remember watching Devils' Line. I can't remember any issues I had. I have to look at my comments.

Old Man Dream: One of those familiar vampire stories in a modern setting where the male lead hates himself because of his vampiric nature and is in love with a human woman. The execution of the whole story is pretty clumsy and from what I gather, the anime is...

Old Man Dream: ...rushing through 40 chapters of manga material to fit into 12 anime episodes. Definitely shows with how quickly it's creaming through events, with the main couple being bland between angsty male vampire and the human female devoted to him.

Old Man Dream: Besides that plot, said male lead's involved with a secret government agency tasked with controlling vampires that give into their bloodlust.

Old Man Dream: And adding more insult to injury, the new Injustice animated movie is a big mess.

Taka: I read through my comments. Bloodlust and rapes along with innuendos. The romance I never mentioned of - with the details you mentioned - I remembered now it was pretty bad.

Old Man Dream: I'm thankfully pretty far in the series. Just have 3 more episodes, which I should get taken care of by tomorrow evening. Kind of regret thinking this would be a good title to dabble into for Halloween.

Taka: Didn't catch the Injustice movie. Waiting for it to be digitally available. That's a shame.

Old Man Dream: The movie got leaked online a week early before its release date. The negative reception to it, especially with how regarded the comic book and video game versions of Injustice are, got me curious to see how bad it was. I won't spoil things unlike most...

Old Man Dream: ...folks are unfortunately doing. But I'll just say that it both tries cramming too much into an 80-minute film and alters things rather heavily compared to the game and comics.

Taka: That is a shame considering they split Long Halloween into two parts. I guess with Injustice, you are appealing to 3 groups: the video game folks, the comic book folks, and then the new fans.

Old Man Dream: It sounds like you're assuming the games and comics run separate stories. The video game series serves as the main story of the franchise, while the comics serve as prequel or interquel to expand on and fill in the details on events that weren't...

Taka: Thanks for the correction. For some reason I thought the video game was loosely based on the comic books and treated the two as separate stories. With fighting games, I assumed they had more flexibility due to different endings.
