Hunter x Hunter is a weird thing, and I don't know why the company is giving this franchise so much lax. It really doesn't do justice for the newer blood with their new shonen shows. I for one don't care about the shonen trinity. Things are changing and needs to be.
This might be good news considering how much PR this franchise gets:
Shonen Jump Site Teases April for Hunter x Hunter Manga's Return
The official Japanese website for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine posted a new image this week to tease "Jump's great blitzes in April!!" In addition to the Naruto Gaiden manga one-shot on April 25 and the two-chapter Yu-Gi-Oh! story on April 11 and 18, the image also shows the Hunter × Hunter manga.
The separate Shonen Jump+ website had announced that Yoshihiro Togashi is resuming his Hunter × Hunter manga in the Ankoku Tairiku (Dark Continent) arc. However, that website did not state specifically when the manga will return. Both websites note that this year's 16th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will reveal more details on Saturday.
I didn't know there were weird rumors about Hunter x Hunter. There is this news article shedding light on the Dragon Quest rumors.
So, now that the Dragon Quest rumors are put to rest, there are new ones taking their place. There's some thought that a certain Pretty Guardian is helping out Togashi, with specific pages maybe showing the work of Sailor Moon author Naoko Takeuchi (who also happens to be married to Togashi).
