OK so this is my first formal calculation page so please be gentle lol. This is your first and only warning, major SPOILERS below
I will be calculating the speed for Shi Xing from Feng Shen Ji just prior to his death.
First let’s calculate Shi Xing most notable speed feat. In this battle is Xuan Feng blows him thousands of miles away only to return seconds later. Now since thousands of miles away is kind of an arbitrary amount we will be calculating this on the low, middle and high end just to be safe.
Thousands of miles implies multiple thousands so the lowest multiple is 2 or 2,000 miles
2000 miles x 1609.34 m = 3,218,680 m
Xuan Feng noticed the Immortal Phoenix’s feathers moments after blowing him away. Now there is no definitive time frame but I am just going to estimate it as 5 seconds. It could be less or more which would of course effect the rest of the calculations.
3,218,680 m / 5 sec =643,736 m/s
643,736 m/s / 340.29 m/s = MACH 1,891.73
5000 miles x 1609.34 m = 8,046,700 m / 5 sec = 1,609,340 m/s / 340.29 m/s = MACH 4,729.32
9000 miles x 1609.34m = 14,484,060m / 5sec = 2,896,812m/s / 340.29m/s = MACH 8,512.77
Ok so if we use the Middle-End Calculation then Shi Xing is around MACH 4,729
Now that was all pre-time skip so of course Shi Xing has gotten faster. In his fight against Huang Long, Shi Xing is blitz’d several times. Most people agree that in order to blitz someone you need to be twice as fast as they are.
At this point the Top Tiers of Feng Shen Ji have already broken into the sub-relativistic speed range. Shi Xing eventually matched Huang Long’s speed to deliver the finishing blow.
So using the Middle-End Calculation the Feng Shen Ji top tiers (Shi Xing, Ancient Dragons, Wu Geng, Zhen Chan, Zi Yu) are all sub-relativistic in speed. That is not even including God Tier (Tian) who is undoubtedly be even faster. Just for shits and giggles here are the Low and High end calcs as well.
Low-End = MACH 3,783.46
High-End = MACH 17,025.54
Alrighty so that’s it. I hope you enjoyed my calculations and if I got the whole thing wrong, sorry lol.
"No matter what happens...I shall gift this world and the world beyond with apocalypse..."
Zero, The only thing that I would be concerned about is if that's truly a blitz or not (a blitz is considered one that they can't react to, as in they're so fast that you can't move your body to anticipate their attacks at all)
тиваненк I thought of that as well, I am looking for when Huang Long completely blitz'd Xian Feng who reacted to Shi Xing's Mach 5000+ attack. This is also assuming that the author only mention single digit thousands and not more. If Shi Xing we use the high end Calc at 9000 miles away then Shi Xing was already sub-relavitic pre time skip.
Also Shi Xing gets stronger and fastereo as the fight goes on. So in his fight encounter with Huang Long he is far slower than when he finally kills him.
Looking at this, wouldn't this be considered calc stacking?
If Character A blitzed Character B then Character A is 2x faster meaning the calced number is now multiplied, which is calc stacking.
Going by this NNT broke sub-relativistic long ago, One piece has been in the MHS+ region for a long time and Naruto is probably pushing a lot higher than thought as well as Bleach, IIRC this method isn't used anywhere due to stuff like that.
Without calc stacking this would just simply be unquantifiably higher than Mach 4729.
Also I thought when you make a low, mid and high end you generally go with the low end, unless there's more than this feat to go off of around the same ball park to use the mid end?
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...
