Note: This review contains very mild and vague spoilers. This will not ruin the series for those wondering, but for the wary, please proceed with caution.
ERASED, also known as "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi (A Town Where Only I am Missing)" is a 12-episode mystery/drama anime about a manga artist that has been able to skip back in time to prevent disasters when activated involuntarily. The latest activation ended up taking him all the way back to his childhood, to the point before the start of a series of murders and an accusation that haunted him up until his adulthood. His goal is to prevent the murders and find the real killer, but all is not as it seems for him.
Storyline The story had a nice introduction and beginning to the tale and manages to keep the viewer guessing to the point of the series due to the happenings of the people involved with the murderer and Satoru's handling of the events during his past and (shockingly) his present at hand. Despite the killer being made out as episodes go by after the abuse investigations and the episode of his reveal, the story manages to continue slowly to the climax and the ending in a surprisingly fitting note.
Characters Most of the characters were actually handled quite well alongside Satoru, Sachiko and Kenya, whom were my three favorite characters with the worst of the bunch being Akemi (Kayo's mother) instead of the killer, whom was part of the bunch that was handled really well, despite being made out in early episodes for very observant viewers. In fact, the killer wasn't too unlikable here due to his motives of trying to sabotage Satoru's life.
Pros and Cons The art style is visually nice and the animation is done well here with some exceptions within like the knife's location on a victim's body in the early episodes. I also like how human a lot of the scenes felt as Satoru bonded with his friends while trying to prevent the murders that are at hand. In fact, most of the drama elements worked quite well for the show and the mystery elements turned out good to a point. About the time skipping ability, I thought it was put to fair use here, including the explanation of that power. While some people thought of the ending to be rather rushed and contorted, I thought it was an nice job on how most of everything was patched up. Not that brilliant, but still nice. The themes of the show are also a very good fit to the show's theme and they're rather nice to listen to.
The point where the mystery elements start to wear out was near the halfway point of the show and the thriller elements of the show was not handled too well. Even though that was never the case, there were moments on where there would be a possible romance involving Satoru and it was quite confusing at some points. (And the reception on that did not help either.)
Overall This obtains a 7 of 10 for me here. For those that are looking to see an mystery-genred anime or are beginning to look into the mystery genre, this series is a good start, unless you know that you're sharply observant (and are one of those that do not skip the intros after Episode 1).
Current Situation: I wanted another excuse to use Enterprise as an avatar again.
Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
