Note: This review contains mild spoilers. This will not ruin the series for those wondering, but for the wary, please proceed with caution.
Anne-Happy (Also known as "Unhappy Go Lucky" or "Unhappy") is a 12-episode moe slice-of-life comedy about a quintet of girls that each have an unfortunate trait that greatly hinders them on the most part. This is the collection of their daily lives in the "happiness class", a class that attempts to adjust their karma and luck to a better state.
Storyline This is one of the slice-of-life series where there's not much story to everything outside of a group's misadventures. The episodes with the school's peculiar happiness exercises were the ones that end up being rather fun with the gimmicks of the characters while he others that have the normal slice-of-life fare ends up falling flat.
Characters This is where the main focus happens to be for the show, and the best and cutest of the cast happens to be Anne with Ms. Kodaira at a close second while the absolute worst of them happens to be Hibiki for being really annoying throughout (and her being a tsundere character does not help that). Ms. Saginomiya turns out to be the second worse of the show, despite appearing for mostly one episode while the rest of the cast range from nice (Ren, Timothy and Botan) to rather dull, despite a quirk (Ruri). One other character that isn't shown much at all ends up bringing out some unanswered questions too aside of working for the school.
Pros and Cons The comedy here happens to be hit-or-miss, but some moments work well for the hits and said comedy also shines well with the happiness exercise episodes. The animation is decent while the art style works rather well for the moé genre. The opening sequence and it's respective theme also works brilliantly with the overall theme of the show and contains the best of the show's music and themes.
However, the rest of the musical themes, including the ending sequence theme also falls flat on it's face and the comedy has more misses than hits about. Some tropes like the bunny girl outfit scenario and a sudden hot spring sequence definitely feel shoehorned into the show and are also used horribly. Also, there were multiple times where I thought of parts of the show with Anne-Happy's logo to be an eyecatch when it already has an initial eyecatch for the middle of the show.
Final Verdict This is getting a 5/10 from me to be honest. While I did have fun with some of the show and a number of characters, I ended up feeling like I got dragged into something peculiar sometimes while watching it. For those that want a show to kill time to, go right ahead, but there are better moé and slice-of-life shows to see than this one.
Current Situation: I wanted another excuse to use Enterprise as an avatar again.
I ended up finishing the show a bit late. I honestly watch the show to kill time. I had no attachment to the characters. There were fun moments as well as boring moments. Favorite episode was the video game one and then the last episode with Timothy stealing a mech from the Gundam Franchise. The animation kicked up a notch in the last episode.
What was the plot of this slice of life, cutesy moe show?
I don't know that, so I assume this show is just no substance, just eye candy with yuri subtones, one sided love to be exact for Hibiki's side. Also, there were a lot of moe shows this season, so I mixed this show with Three Colors, Three Leaves (Sansha Sanyou) and Pan de Peace. It doesn't stand out this season.
Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
