We get backstory on a quiet knight with a very thin blade. I'm not sure if the former Pontifex was right if the knight was a sadistic person. We get a good battle between her and the pugilists. She didn't kill any of them just cut off their arms.
I can't believe the right hand man who was killing people in his hunt died in a giant hole
That giant hole was made by Asuna who is using the Goddess Stacia's account and really destroyed the army with her power.
Half of the episode was on set up - Asuna explaining her side to the folks
The 2nd half's enjoyment depends on whether you like harem shenanigans.
Compared to Lisbeth, Silica (have to exclude Sinon and Leafa who had their own arcs and season), only Alice is the developed one. Didn't expect to see the Senpai in the war. I did enjoy the clash of Asuna and Alice while the other girls had their competitive reasons on Kirito.
I didn't get to comment on the last week's shows until now. Before I watch my Saturday shows, I'll do these right away.
For an evil army, they really don't look evil. Sometimes, I felt bad they were getting cut down. They were traveling on ropes across the giant chasm that Asuna created. It's war, so the knights went to cut down the ropes.
The hackers called the Americans (something's odd with this show) to play the evil side. Meanwhile, Yui counters that with calling all the Japan side. While it was great to see Lisbeth and less utilized and spotlighted gang from Sword Art Online, it felt weird that Lisbeth was talking. The flashbacks were added to help the new anime fans. I'm not sure why the gamers were antagonistic towards SAO survivers. Most of them have PTSD. The show didn't create enough backstory or details of this conflict to make sense.

-Sinon hugging Kirito -Suguha's unfortunate scene and she cut down the woman who defiled her -Bercouli fighting Vector with all of his might. He had time based techniques -Asuna taking down the American soldiers -Klein's awesome tornado entrance
I feel bad for Suguha. I feel it's bad character writing because she let her guard down after letting orc prince tie her. Her idea was to go to the emperor. She was nice to not dehumanize the orc prince. Then, Dee came in. Yeah, I expected it when Dee had that similar face. I'm not offended but normal folks would feel discomfortable and folks who hate SAO will exploit this scene and undermine it as a sexual assault or rape scene when it's not one. Suguha could have broken free on her own.
Silly Ronye, Kirito's harem has 3 boys in it: Eugeo, Klein, and Egil.
I hope they don't kill off Bercouli.
I always thought Sinon had a more platonic relationship with Kirito in her eyes. I didn't expect a kiss on the cheek. She is the only one who can fly. That will benefit her sniping.
While the episode was a fan service for folks who want to see their minor characters featured, we had a climactic battle and essentially Bercouli's last stand.
It's better to post Twitter videos since taking screenshots take so long. The animation is good so it's good to know the budget is still there for the sakuga effect.
Though, I didn't know Fanatio and Bercouli were in a relationship. Someone mentioned in the last opening theme song of last season had Fanatio sleeping naked. I thought it was just Fanatio prefers to sleep naked. I didn't notice Bercouli's sword in the room, hanging on the wall. What's weird is that Fanatio had arguably romantic interests in Kirito. Both Alice and Fanatio had close relationships with Bercouli. (From Ep 5 below)
Then they debate on the topic of Bercouli in terms of dueling
In the end, their relationship felt rushed and superficial just like Kirito and Asuna in season 1.
Eir Aoi's song for Sword Art Online hit 1 million views in 4 days
The official YouTube channel for anison singer Eir Aoi started streaming an 85-second music video for her 18th single song "I will..." on July 17. The song has been featured as the ED theme for the ongoing final chapter of the TV anime Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld.
The clip featuring two women laying their hands and softly enveloping each other was immediately viewed one million times only in four days, which was the fastest record in her nine-year career. The song was released digitally on July 20, then ranked No.1 in Oricon's daily digital single charts on its first day. Its physical CD is set to be available on August 12, 2020.
Reeling from the loss of her father figure, Sinon breaks the bad news to Alice that Vector will come back in a new form. She urges Alice to head to the south gate while she holds Vector who will likely spawn near the site of his death. Sinon also explains Kirito has suffer for Alice and everyone in contrast to Vector and Bercouli.
That was a good scene.
The strange thin sword woman and the Pugulist guy had a few scenes. I didn't know there were romantic implications.
I'm not sure what the franchise or author intentions are with now Koreans and Chinese players coming to attack the Japanese hackers which the guy made up to attract players. The Korean named characters are a bit suspicious given the situation.
Plus side for Klein and Egil screentime and the others.
Strange that the enemy respawn as Laughing Coffin members.
I hope nothing bad happen, controversial wise because it's hard to get a good discussion.
Old Man Dream: Yeah. After Tenchi Muyo, Masaki Kajishima dabbled into several other harem titles, some of which not being based in the Tenchi timeline, which all have the same resolution of where the male lead "has them all." But they aren't really as popular.

Taka: I need to finish Geminar and GXP. Just cancel FUNimation which leaves me until July 23rd unless there are at least 3 shows that catch my eye from this season.
Jul 9, 2020 3:27:17 GMT
Old Man Dream: Believe GXP was pulled from Funi's streaming site last year because their digital rights to the series expired. But you should still be able to stream War on Geminar on their site.
Jul 9, 2020 13:36:38 GMT
Taka: Darn, for some reason I thought it was still there. I finished Geminar. Well, I guess I proceed and watch the rest of those OVAs on CR.
Jul 10, 2020 1:37:08 GMT
Taka: I think I can write a review on Geminar. I wished I made a discussion thread and kept notes on it. I tend to forget small details and make mistakes when interpreting character actions.

Taka: How strange, when I log in, the colors via Fire Fox disappear. If I log out, I can see the color for hyperlink words. Anyways, been noticing God of High School has been the talk for WWE folks.
