Oh I see. That's interesting. I thought the rebooting will help change stuff since unlike anime/manga, comic books reuse most of the same pre-existing characters. I see it does the exact opposite.
I wasn't aware of those specific story events with Thor's hammer.
Marvel's world building is great as it is. They dont need to reboot constantly to keep things fresh, all they have to do is focus on other worlds every now and then and stop focusing mainly on Marvel Earth. You can do a story focusing on characters from the Kree empire, Skrull empire, the mystical realms etc. My favorite Marvel comics are Silver Surfer's comics because not only is he a good character but you get to see more of Marvel's universe through his lens.
I hardly see Silver Surfer on the screen. Aside from Thor and Thanos issues, what are the good ones these days?
Silver Surfer Black was one of the more recent one's I've read and it was a really good read. The art in it is really trippy and weird looking but I got used to it quick and ended up liking it. Surfer is basically on the run from a Celestial killing being named Knull who corrupted Surfer and its slowly corrupting his soul. The story was great and he does a lot of cool stuff.
Silver Surfer: In Thy Name is a good one as well. He discovers a new alien planet where the civilization is highly advanced and everything is seemingly peaceful and perfect. Its a great story and as usually Surfer has some really cool feats in it
Silver Surfer Annihilation is old and most people have read it but I still have to mention it because its just really good. It's a tie in to the Annihilation event (which was also insanely good) that focuses on Silver Surfer and all the other past heralds. Basically the heralds are all being hunted down one by one by Annihilus' army led by some op dude and they have to team up.

Old Man Dream: Well, I went ahead and already spoiled myself over later events in the series. Looks like that gets fairly messy with handling its little plot twist involving Rika, Satoko, and the mentioned story element having some assume there's some sort of...

Old Man Dream: ...Umineko crossover. May have liked the idea with better handling of the story development. But it's basically made Satoko a rather unlikable character now.

Taka: It's a gigantic mech franchise. I haven't seen Macross myself. I know it's a big one.

Old Man Dream: Guess we don't get it. Make things short and sweet: Through some unintentional legal wranglings, Harmony Gold's owned international rights to the Macross name for decades and its Japanese developers, disgusted by the move, had not allowed...

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
