There is a special event for Pokemon Go which I wish there was a special event for Sun and Moon, too
A special version of Pikachu will appear in Niantic's Pokémon Go smartphone game beginning on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET. Every Pikachu that players encounter until March 6 at 5:00 p.m. ET will wear a party hat that will stay on the electric mouse's head even after the event period. Pikachu with Santa hats appeared in the game beginning in December for an in-game holiday event. Most of the Generation 2 monsters launched in the game on February 16.
oh there is one for Sun and Moon.
Players of the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Nintendo 3DS games can visit participating GameStop stores until March 5 to receive a Bottle Cap. The item boosts the strength of one Pokémon's stats through Hyper Training. In addition, the Pokémon Shuffle Nintendo 3DS game will hold in-game Pokémon Day promotions. The Pikachu Yellow Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL debuted in North America on Friday.
Wait, what? No, why it can be a special Pokemon and through wireless instead of Gamestop. I have nothing against Gamestop since I have a friend working there. He is my go to man. Not everyone has a Gamestop near them especially if you are outside of the states
Pokémon Sun and Moon are about to get a whole lot more Mega Stones in-game with a special in-game distribution event coming down the pipeline. Players will be getting Metwonite X and Mewtwonite Y in the coming days via special code.
You can get the Mewtwonites to evolve your Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo by using the code M2DESCENT in your game via the Mystery Gift menu. Make sure you don't miss out on your free stones to play the game with a bigger, badder Mewtwo!
Looking to add some additional Mega Stones to your arsenal in Pokemon Sun and Moon? You can now get four more with a code posted on the official Pokemon site.
To save you time, the code is "AZUL." Previously these Mega Stones were unavailable in the games, but now you can have your Pidgeot, Heracross, Steelix and Houndoom evolve in-game. You'll have to go to the Mystery Gift screen and use the code "AZUL" to receive the stones, which you'll be able to use to transform your favorite members of your Pokemon menagerie.
Make sure to visit the Pokemon Center in any city to grab your Mega Stones, then save your game to save your progress as well.

Game developer Niantic announced on Thursday that the first Legendary Pokémon will appear in the Pokémon GO smartphone game at Pokémon GO Fest Chicago on Saturday. Niantic's global marketing product lead Archit Bhargava had said in May that "this summer will be legendary." The game's official website began streaming a promotional video for the announcement.
The Legendary Pokémon that appear in the video include Zapdos, Moltres, Ho-Oh, Articuno, Lugia, and Mewtwo. Players who attend Pokémon GO Fest Chicago at Grant Park on Saturday will participate in challenges to unlock rewards for players around the world. If players at the event succeed in defeating the Legendary Pokémon in the final challenge, that Pokémon will begin appearing in Raid Battles around the world after the event. Players will be able to use Legendary Pokémon in Raid and Gym Battles, but they will not be able to use them to defend Gyms.
The event will hold an official live streaming program on Twitch and YouTube on Saturday. Rachel Quirico, Britanni Johnson, Kelly Link, and Brandon "Mystic7" Martyn will appear in the program.
Players at Pokémon GO Fest Chicago as well as players around the world will cooperate during during three Challenge Windows on Saturday to unlock rewards based on the type of Pokémon they catch. For example, if players at the event catch the most Electric-type Pokémon, the distance required to hatch Eggs will be reduced. Depending on how many Pokémon players at the event catch, the duration of the unlocked bonuses will increase.
In addition, players who attend the event will be able to encounter Pokémon that normally do not appear in Grant Park, receive an exclusive in-game medal, and obtain exclusive two-kilometer Eggs at the park's PokéStops.
Pokémon GO Safari Zone events that will be held in Europe this summer in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers. The events will be held at shopping centers in Copenhagen, Denmark and Prague, Czech Republic on August 5 and in Stockholm, Sweden and Amstelveen, The Netherlands on August 12. Events will be held in Oberhausen, Germany; Paris, France; and Barcelona, Spain on September 16.
The Pokemon Company is organizing the "Pikachu Outbreak" event for the Pokémon franchise in Yokohama on August 9-15. Similar events were held in Yokohama in 2015 and 2016. The upcoming event will feature "a special Pokémon GO experience."
The Pokémon GO at Big Heritage Festival event will be held in Chester, England on July 22-23. The United Kingdom heritage organization Big Heritage is partnering with Niantic "to curate historical locations throughout the ancient city of Chester within Pokémon GO to encourage community engagement and education."
Pokemon Go adds the legendary dogs (or was it cats?): Raikou, Entei, and Suicune
Niantic announced on Thursday that it has added Legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune to its Pokémon GO smartphone game. The Pokémon can be caught in Raid Battles at Gyms, and will be available in different locations around the world in coming months. From August 31 to September 30, Raikou will be available in the Americas, Entei will be available in Europe and Africa, and Suicune will be available in the Asia-Pacific region. All three Pokémon will move to different locations every month until October 31.
Niantic also announced that it will hold field testing for its Exclusive Raid Battle feature, now titled EX Raid Battle. The developers will send out invitations to try the new system as early as September 6.
In the invitation-only EX Raid Battle system, players who recently completed a Raid at a Gym where an EX Raid Battle will be held will be able to receive invitations to participate. Players will then receive advance notice of when the EX Raid Battle will take place. Mewtwo will be the first Pokémon available through EX Raid Battles, but Niantic said that "other powerful Pokémon may also start to hatch from the Raid Eggs found at EX Raid Battles."
Ditto has been a busy Pokémon, attempting to infiltrate the video game giant's plush brand and the Pikachu-centric parade in Yokohama. There's something about the creature's simplistic facial expression that appeals to fans, and so his stealthy merchandise domination continues with more and more variants. Pokémon Centers caught on to the craze and went a step further, imaging if Ditto could transform into everyday household goods. The result is sure to please fans of pink, amorphous Pokémon.
The line of goods will take over Pokemon Center locations on October 28. The line includes a knapsack, slippers, coin purse, and u-shaped pillow (pictured above), and cookies, standard stuffed plush (pink), a pass case, zip-up hoodie, stuffed hat, thermos, Japanese-style tea cup, drinking glass, smartphone case, tote bag, and squeeze mascot (pictured below).
For those still playing, it's time for Pokémon GO to start ushering in Pokémon from the Hoenn region. While we'll have to wait until December for more of the Generation 3 monsters to begin gradually appearing, the fun starts a little early with this year's Halloween event.
As of today at 12:00pm Pacific Time, Sableye, Banette, Duskull, and other spooky Gen 3 Pokémon will be available to capture. The event runs until Thursday, November 2 at 1:00pm Pacific, so get in on the action while you can.
Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
Feb 11, 2020 2:11:38 GMT
Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.
Feb 15, 2020 16:50:30 GMT
Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...
