A couple of trademarks have been spotted that could very well be the names of Nintendo's next Pokemon games.
Two trademark registrations, one for Pokemon Moon, and one for Pokemon Sun, have appeared on the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market's website (spotted by Nerdleaks). The trademarks are also accompanied by logos which you can see below.
Yesterday, Nintendo announced it would be holding a five minute long Pokemon Direct on Friday, February 26, at 7am PT. If these trademarks are real, expect Sun and Moon to be officially announced then.
Watched the Direct right now. People are expressing joy, some lewd stuff because of the abbreviation.
I did have a question. The Pokemon Bank - they just mentioned Red, Yellow, and Blue can transfer there. What about the past generations. I felt weird that the first gen games are transferable. They are pretty old despite being on eshop. That is kind of confusing.
Folks speculate the games' regions are Singapore based.
Taka: That was a shock to me too for the Virtual Console versions of R/B/Y to be compatible for Pokemon Bank as well. As for past gens besides that, Pokemon Bank can only go back as far as the Gen 5 games.
Also, the Mega Solrock/Lunatone jokes were inbound just like that one you just posted. XD
Current Situation: I wanted another excuse to use Enterprise as an avatar again.
Master Menos, Taka, We need more Mega Solrock and Lunatone jokes! Bring out the Soul Eater cards lol.
Tbh i wonder if, given the setting of this time's names, pokemon will finally go into space. I mean they have in the series confirmed pokemons from space with Deoxys and Clefairy, i am wondering when they'll finally get to space. Still i'll see which game we'll get when it comes out, depends a bit on how the legendaries look like. But given what i'm expecting i'll likely be going for Moon.
Haven't played Pokemon in years. Only played as far as the Gold/ Silver generation.
I made it from Red/Blue/Yellow to Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald over the years (not counting Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Stadium 2, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon: Trading Card Game, Hey You, Pikachu!, and Pokemon Snap that I also played). Once the series jumped over to the DS I gave up on the games due to not getting a DS in order to keep playing.
However, I might get a 3DS later this year in order to replay Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and transfer my Gen. 1 Pokemon over to Pokemon Sun and Moon!
In light of the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, there is another give away, Celebi. Unlike last month for Mew, this one doesn't do cards at Gamestop. (Thank GOD!). It's for X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.
Taka: It's a gigantic mech franchise. I haven't seen Macross myself. I know it's a big one.

Old Man Dream: Guess we don't get it. Make things short and sweet: Through some unintentional legal wranglings, Harmony Gold's owned international rights to the Macross name for decades and its Japanese developers, disgusted by the move, had not allowed...

Old Man Dream: ...many later Macross anime outside Japan because that would profit Harmony Gold. Macross was one of three anime titles used by HG in the 1980s to edit together the popular Robotech series popular with fans during that time. Under this deal...

Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
