Start off the month with a trial, I don't get why Barry doesn't fight back. He wouldn't be lying if he fears lying. Where was Kid Flash? He could be helping especially if there is no speedster. This episode had a good development scene for Ralph's character which I didn't expect. He shared his mistake of forging evidence when Joe tried to do the same thing. Joe definitely didn't do it. That was a powerful scene. I still have no idea what the Thinker (still a dumb villain name) motives are. This episode is good, just missing Kid Flash.
The prankster's kid, Axel, broke out with his mom's help. This episode was weird with the villains. It was Ralph's episode as he adjust to being a hero in Flash's absence. They should have Kid Flash. Anyways, Ralph had character development, getting brave as hero will have to face death. He finally got a new suit.
I don't like how they got Barry out of prison. Their legal method was having Ralph shape shift (I didn't understand how having plastic powers can give you the ability to shapeshift and change your voice) to Davoe.
The judge just lets them go without any questioning. Everything was good.
I love Ralph and Cisco, they make a good comedic combo
Wells doesn't get much action but he has moments where he doubts himself but believes in himself.
Cecille has psychic powers. That was random. Anyone can get Meta powers in this show.
Best episode was Flash Time. I like it was tense and I was trying to think up solutions on how Barry and his gang would get out as they try to figure out to save everyone when a nuclear bomb just went off.
One con and this would never go away, Wally, Kid Flash
One of their failed tactics was hurling three lightning bolts to stop the chemical reaction. We had Jesse and Jay Garrick. Jay Garrick couldn't do it because he was old and doesn't have a lot of stamina.
I like how they tried cooling it. Breaching couldn't work because it can't work in Flash Time. Did not expect them to bring the Speed Force and lurining it with a lightning rod, the Quark? (not sure what it was call)
The recap had hints but I didn't pick it up. I was wondering why the recap went so deep. That's the reason why.
It was interesting to see how Barry and Iris's relationship adapt when Barry's powers were transferred to Iris, a bit of power dynamic switch.
The only con I had was we had a fire enemy which could have been dispatched by Caitlin's Killer Frost. I get they want to spotlight Iris and show the struggles she has to overcome, learning how to use her speed powers despite being totally new to it, but logically speaking, they endanger Iris by making her to take on an enemy when she only had her powers for one day or so. I get empowering and motivating Iris but this wasn't effective.
Also, I get they had to incorporate Wells' new invention, boosting his intellect
Today's episode of Flash - it was a very heavy though it might been predictable since this wasn't a finale. Finale usually solve most things, beat the bad guys but has a cost.
This one, they believed they have the villain with Edwin Gauss's power. When you have that ideal, the worst outcome is possible.
Surprised they didn't show what happened to the Melting Point Asian guy. They just kill him off screen. I felt that was lazy writing since Barry and his team got to him and promised to work with him. The rest of the Bus Metas were killed on screen.
For Wells, I can't believe he was so dependent on the Thinking Cap.
Saddest part was seeing Ralph die after episodes of developing his character. He grew to be part of the team. Flash's show doesn't do Julian or Wally justice as those characters are poorly written out of the show. At least, Ralph goes out like a bang. He didn't kill Davoe. He cuffed him, bringing him to justice as a hero would in Flash.
Interesting episode - it's an episode about relationships - Two of them: 1) Marlize and Davoe 2) Cisco and Gypsy
Sad part both of them fail
We also got Marlize's backstory - I have no idea how she fall in love with a guy whose intellectual ego belittle her at their first encounter during some lecture
I would have assume Cisco and Gypsy can maintain their romantic relationship even if it is worlds apart and they can't leave their own jobs, protecting people. They share a lot in common but relationship just fail
Oh yes, one more thing to comment. The episode also reveals DaVoe's motives - destroy all technology and reboot mankind's brains to make sure they don't use it much - if I got that right
I found his motives - I couldn't really connect with him. It was too broad and not all technology are evil. Heck, he using technology to gain those Meta powers.
Knew DeVoe had nothing good in him. He's basically dead from the start. Ralph is back. He was key to stopping DeVoe. Nice to see Wally
I don't know what to comment for the bad stuff. I enjoyed most of it. The villain of the season wasn't as great. They defeated him within half or more than half. They spent the last remaining good chunk on saving people from falling satellite, saving Harry's memories, finding out who the female speedster (it was obvious) at the party
Time traveling mistakes run in the Barry family except Wally
Dream: Looks like a remake of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be airing in July. The original seiyuu from the 2000s series will reprise their roles for the remake and judging from the animation, looks like it will have more polish to it compared...
