The New York Videogame Critics Circle announced on Tuesday that it is presenting Reggie Fils-Aimé, former President and COO of Nintendo of America, with the Andrew Yoon Legend Award at the ninth annual New York Game Awards at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan on January 21. According to the organization's website, the award goes to "individuals and organizations that exhibit a significant, sustained body of work that shows exceptional achievement and innovation."
The event will have a livestream on Mixer and Twitch, and the organization will announce details at a later date.
Fils-Aime joined the New York Videogame Critics Circle's board of directors on September 17.
Fils-Aimé retired from Nintendo of America in April. He began working at Nintendo of America as its executive vice president of sales and marketing in 2003, and he became president and COO in 2006. According to the announcement's press release, "Fils-Aimé's management led to record-breaking sales for products like the Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch systems." During Fils-Aimé's time with Nintendo of America, the company established a new sales and marketing office in Redwood City, California and built a new headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
Nintendo announced through the Japanese media on April 8 that it will be halting shipments of the original Nintendo Switch console and its Lite counterpart in Japan for the time being, just as demand for the console has risen thanks to the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and production issues have arisen.
Shortages in the country have been ongoing since the start of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in China, where a lot of the manufacturing of the console happens. The system is sold out in all the major stores in Japan, including Amazon, Yodobashi, and BIC Camera.

According to the Japan Times, shipments for the consoles are still on track for the North America and European regions, while demand is currently at its peak. It seems the issue right now is the Asian regions, including Australia, where not only is the original Nintendo Switch sold out at EB Games, physical copies of Animal Crossing are as well, with pre-orders going back up for both products. According to EB Games, the next Switch shipment will be on May 8, nearly a full month away. Nintendo can't confirm when Japan will see new Nintendo Switch consoles or when production will resume.
Ring Fit Adventure, the popular workout game which was already having stock issues around the world, has also seen production delays due to the outbreak, with no new shipments in store for Japan at this time.
Limited Run Games has been putting out some great physical releases, and the company's latest tackles a classic visual novel. In partnership with Prototype, VisualArts, Key, and Sekai Project, Limited Run announced plans to bring a limited edition physical release of the Switch version of Clannad to the west.
Pre-orders go live at 9:00am Pacific Time on April 14 for the Collector's Edition—which packs the game with an arrange album and an official guidebook—and will be open for six weeks.
You can currently get Clannad digitally on PC, Switch, and PS4.

Old Man Dream: Set the playback speed on the video to 0.25x. Should make it easier to get a good pause on one of the two naughty bits. Both appear around 0:19ish in the video.
