Their search engine in ComicVine isn't as good as Proboards. They don't have the advance search options.
Not bashing ComicVine. Yes, their community is bigger and active than Anime Vice. I think the anime community there isn't as active compared to Anime Vice's as the threads get drowned fast due to the activity. There is I believe still stigma against anime in ComicVine. It's same thing you see any fandom. Comic doesn't get a lot of love in Anime Vice. Vice Versa
Plus, it's in the name. You will see mostly comics stuff in ComicVine and anime/manga in Anime Vice. The people there will only have most of their interests on that subject in that site.
Last post. I'm going to work on something else. Check other similar forum sites with a similar interface
Some sites don't have division while others do but one of them was for specific series.
That was interesting I guess. AnimeVice is probably the only site so far that has an off-topic forum which honestly makes sense compared to the other sites because they aren't anime specific. I forgot which site had the DBZ sub battle forum - I assume they did it because to separate out the mainstream franchise into their own subforum.
We haven't had too much dupe threads lately. It might become an issue due to confusion or users aren't asking us mods to double check the search engine. I recommend users to ask for help especially if your thread involves a franchise that is very popular in Anime Vice. Keep in mind, Anime Vice has different needs compared to other communities.
Dragon Ball Toriko Magi Naruto One Punch Man Bleach The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) Black Clover Fairy Tail
The list will grow on.
Just recently, we had only two cases of dupe within a month apart this year. Only 2 cases this year.
The oldest thread was made in Feb 2019 and the new one was made in June 2019
We did had one proposal but it was never finalized. Hence I wanted to prevent confusion. If the proposal was finalized, the new thread would be locked anyways. The old thread was only 4 months, just barely making it.
We are still using the old rules. Incarnations are the same.
Checking the conditions, ironically the less conditions one in the old one was more fair to both characters compared to new one whose victory condition and no PIS or something favor one character over the other.
IN regards to Hungryworld's discussions on dupe threads regarding active franchises, this wouldn't apply since Bleach and Magi ended.
Taka: Virtual anime conventions - this year has been taking twists and turns. People are making adjustments. I think I spend over 100 dollars every time I go to Anime Expo each year (counting in total of badge cost, food, transportation, and merchandise).

Taka: I'll be saving money. Though, the pandemic has caused a lot of folks to have reduced hours, took time off, or laid off. Most folks' disposable income is a bit tight.

Dream: Done with TTM. See if I can get a review for it up sometime tonight.

Dream: With Appare Ranman resuming in a few weeks, guess I'll cream through whatever episodes were released before its delay to see if I'll stick with the remaining ones this season.

Taka: So Tenchi Geminar has a school full of mostly girls just like Infinite Stratos and many harem shows.
Jul 8, 2020 6:50:40 GMT
Dream: Yeah. After Tenchi Muyo, Masaki Kajishima dabbled into several other harem titles, some of which not being based in the Tenchi timeline, which all have the same resolution of where the male lead "has them all." But they aren't really as popular.

Taka: I need to finish Geminar and GXP. Just cancel FUNimation which leaves me until July 23rd unless there are at least 3 shows that catch my eye from this season.
Jul 9, 2020 3:27:17 GMT
Dream: Believe GXP was pulled from Funi's streaming site last year because their digital rights to the series expired. But you should still be able to stream War on Geminar on their site.
Jul 9, 2020 13:36:38 GMT
Taka: Darn, for some reason I thought it was still there. I finished Geminar. Well, I guess I proceed and watch the rest of those OVAs on CR.
Jul 10, 2020 1:37:08 GMT
Taka: I think I can write a review on Geminar. I wished I made a discussion thread and kept notes on it. I tend to forget small details and make mistakes when interpreting character actions.
