Caught up now an wow did it turn dark. I mean it flirted with dark but deeee-ahhaaammmm! First half of the series had dark bits but seems the second half just goes straight out pitch black, stomp on your heart, crazy train , darkness.
15 has one part that was a stroke of genius troll by the creators. I mean wow.
Um yeah kinda liked it. Two thumbs an two toes up epic darkness. This is not Groundhog Day.
Subaru wasnt the only one that went ape shit after witnessing that gruesome torture Rem went through, twisted her like a fcking marshmallow, Petelgeuse needs to die a slow/painful death, this bastard is one twisted mf.
This is pretty bad situation because the reset point takes place after the duel. Subaru already screwed up relationships with other knights. There is no way that the gang can defeat the witch cult whose massacre occurs pretty soon. Without Roswaal, Ram, Rem, and Emilia along with the village is killed off. Beatrice's magic for some reason goes berserk.
Thought Subaru would get killed to force a reset. However, he gets killed twice.
The only way to avert this disaster is get reinforcements, Reinhard and the cat boy. The other knights and their mistresses do not support Emilia.
character growth finally shows in for Subaru who was pretty dead in the first reset. It was really agonizing to watch. I didn't expect them to explicitly brutal. Prefer they just kept it dark and out of camera. Kind of pointless with the gratuitous violence. This isn't Akame ga Kill or Berserk.
I expect some folks to drop this show either for Subaru or the violence in this show.
1st Arc - Subaru died 3 times
2nd Arc - Subaru died 4 times
3rd Arc - Subaru has to die more than the 2nd arc, theoretically. This makes the wait time much longer for people and the payload isn't going to be worth it. I expect more folks to drop this show.
Old Man Dream: For the Pixar films from the poll I did up to yesterday, I'll be watching A Bug's Life first.

Taka: I'll be back later tonight. Hopefully, my internet will get better and stay stable. It's randomly disconnecting.

Old Man Dream: Something I hate doing when I had initially promised, but having second thoughts on the Pixar movie viewing I promised. Four months going through the retrospective has me itching to want to dabble back into older anime titles again.

Old Man Dream: Yeah, sorry guys. But I'm reneging on this. Been immersed enough in Disney the past four months and want to get back deep into things with anime. Maybe down the line, I'll do a Pixar retrospective if I have enough a case of anime burnout. But back to anime

Taka: I'm not sure when to do the seasonal derby for Winter 2021 since Netflix or other companies might pop up a new anime.

Old Man Dream: Guess even with Weathering with You, Shinkai's still dabbling into his typical storytelling involving long-distance relationships, at least when it comes to Hina and Hodaka's circumstances. Only about an hour into the film thus far.

Old Man Dream: Hmmmmm.... And can't believe I'm saying this with my indifference for both: Your Name > Weathering With You.

Old Man Dream: Done with the film. Think there's enough with this where I can put a review together. Expect something up sometime later today.

Taka: Planning to watch Weathering with You. I don't remember if I watched all of the older Shinkai films. There is a shift from the sad romance to happier romance if I'm not mistaken.
