Boruto Joins Lineup For Jump Special Anime Festa Event
This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto's Boruto manga will be part of this year's Jump Special Anime Festa. The announcement doesn't specifically state that the manga will get an event anime.
The new generation of Naruto is keeping Kenji Taira busy. The artist on Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth and The Uchiha Sasuke Sharingan Chronicles, as well as a tie-in to the Boruto - Naruto the Movie now has a Boruto spin-off coming to the bimonthly, younger-audience Saikyou Jump.
Leading into the spring TV anime, the series will be launching in April.
Good news for fans, Boruto gets its 2nd novel on July 4
Boruto Franchise Gets 2nd Novel on July 4
Shueisha announced on Friday that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and anime franchise is getting a second novel that will ship on July 4. The novel will be the second installment in the "Academy chapter" of the franchise that centers on Boruto entering the ninja academy along with Sarada, Shikadai, Inojin, and Chōchō to face a coming threat to their school life.
Kō Shigenobu (F.E.A.R., Tenka Ryōran RPGs) is returning to write the novel. Masashi Kishimoto, the original creator of the Naruto manga, is credited for the original work alongside Boruto manga artist Mikie Ikemoto and writer Ukyō Kodachi.
I honestly didn't anticipate a new organization popping up... Especially one having any form of relationship to the marking inscribed on Boruto's arm!? After all, it was Momoshiki who endowed it onto Boruto. We can probably assume that there's a bit of relationship there to the Ootsutsuki clan but how soo I don't know?
Kara, huh!? Or should I say Akatsuki 2.0!? Isshiki
That aside, do you think Boruto may have ended up joining the organization?
I'm not opposed to having a new organization appear, but the fact they have these marks are somewhat disturbing. Did they beat Ootsutsuki members and gain them or are they a cult of worshipers? And where's Kawaki? Seems like this is the place he would be affiliated with.
Overall, I can't wait to see how things play out with this.
Boruto gets 4th novel which will be about a school trip
This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on September 11 that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and anime franchise is getting a fourth novel that will ship in November. The novel will be a novelization of the "school trip" arc.
The first novel in the series shipped on May 2, the second novel shipped on July 4, and the third novel (seen right) shipped on September 4. Kō Shigenobu (F.E.A.R., Tenka Ryōran RPGs) wrote the novels. Masashi Kishimoto, the original creator of the Naruto manga, is credited for the original work alongside Boruto manga artist Mikie Ikemoto and writer Ukyō Kodachi.
There is a side story, not a full spin-off series, for Mitsuki
The 2018 combined second and third issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime will adapt the Naruto manga side story chapter "Michita Tsuki ga Terasu Michi" ("Naruto: The Path Lit by the Full Moon"), which shows the past of the character Mitsuki. The episode will air on December 27.
Old Man Dream: For the Pixar films from the poll I did up to yesterday, I'll be watching A Bug's Life first.

Taka: I'll be back later tonight. Hopefully, my internet will get better and stay stable. It's randomly disconnecting.

Old Man Dream: Something I hate doing when I had initially promised, but having second thoughts on the Pixar movie viewing I promised. Four months going through the retrospective has me itching to want to dabble back into older anime titles again.

Old Man Dream: Yeah, sorry guys. But I'm reneging on this. Been immersed enough in Disney the past four months and want to get back deep into things with anime. Maybe down the line, I'll do a Pixar retrospective if I have enough a case of anime burnout. But back to anime

Taka: I'm not sure when to do the seasonal derby for Winter 2021 since Netflix or other companies might pop up a new anime.

Old Man Dream: Guess even with Weathering with You, Shinkai's still dabbling into his typical storytelling involving long-distance relationships, at least when it comes to Hina and Hodaka's circumstances. Only about an hour into the film thus far.

Old Man Dream: Hmmmmm.... And can't believe I'm saying this with my indifference for both: Your Name > Weathering With You.

Old Man Dream: Done with the film. Think there's enough with this where I can put a review together. Expect something up sometime later today.

Taka: Planning to watch Weathering with You. I don't remember if I watched all of the older Shinkai films. There is a shift from the sad romance to happier romance if I'm not mistaken.
