EmperorThanos Sure, I've read many. I'm about to read the second volume of allstar like today or tomorrow. Im also a Thor and Thanos fan in terms of marvel, but it's harder to find the books I want.
Awesome, I was going to ask you, if knew about all-star superman, because I would love to see a respect thread for him. Well for Thanos, I have access to pretty every apperance he has ever made all the way up to 2014. So I can help you with that if want.
Thanks a lot man. And i could make a respect thread, but I would need a camera or something, since I have the book with me.
Updating Superman's power to At Least Large Planet-Level.
After comparing the size of the explosion he tanked to Jupiter, I thought there was no way he could be just Large Planet-Level. That explosion is 41.2 million times larger than the largest planet in our solar system. If we take the difference in size and multiply it by the energy required to destroy a large planet as per battle standards, it would be close to Star-Level, but because of the inverse-square law, which dictates that as an explosion expands away from the center, it gets weaker, that just won't fly.
Quantifying it by using the Nuclear Weapons Effect Calculator won't fly either as the explosion was powered by six miniature black holes, and not a material like plutonium.
Personally, I would put it at Dwarf Star-Level if not higher, but until I could get cold hard numbers, I won't.
Upgrading Superman (Red Son) to Small Star-Level. The black hole-powered bomb he tanked was going to destroy everything in a 15 million radius according to Lex Luthor (who also happens to be the most intelligent man on Earth by far), so that includes Earth, considering the explosion greatly dwarfs it in size. And there's a way to calculate the power of such an explosion, outlined here: www.madsci.org/posts/archives/2001-11/1004909251.As.r.html
The energy would be equal to: (surface area of the explosion (spherical, 4*pi*r^2)/cross-sectional area of the planet (pi*r^2))*gravitational binding energy of the planet ((3*G*M^2)/5*r))
Explosion surface area (15 million miles = 24140160000 metres) = 24140160000^2*pi*4 = 7.3230189*10^21 metres^2
Cross-sectional area of Earth = 6371000^2*pi = 1.2751612*10^14 metres^2
Earth's gravitational binding energy = (3*(6.674*10^-11)*(5.974*10^24)^2)/(5*6371000) = 2.2431602*10^32 Joules
∴ ((7.3230189*10^21)/(1.2751612*10^14))*2.2431602*10^32 = 1.2882061*10^40 Joules = Small Star-Level

Dream: Looks like California and New York are now enforcing all non-essential workers to stay home, except for necessary needs and all public gatherings are banned, at least in New York. New York's are in effect Sunday.
