Just finished watching this, not gonna lie it was a lot better than I thought it would be, Kyrielite's adorable as hell, it was cool seeing her kick ass with a giant shield. It was awesome seeing alter Saber and Archer! I hope for a part II.
A funny fan art from someone I dont know, Machu Megmumin sized.
I haven't play the game, so I was completely lost to be honest. I sort of got the gist as it ended, the movie or special ended with a quest being opened, our gang fixing history and 7 singularities just like time traveling in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
I was happy they didn't do another Holy Grail War. Though, the effects of the Holy Grail War affected this anime.
Lancer finally beat Archer which is a weird role reversal. He was too OP, beating Dark Saber after she was preoccupied with Mash and the male protagonist whose name I forgot.
Lancer had a lot of fan service scenes. I like how he tell them to summon him as a Lancer class.
Too bad, Olga died. She reminded me of Rin. At least, the doctor is still there.
I'm vaguely aware of the game, mostly just from watching gameplay, but I didn't realize how convoluted the plot was lol, but this was still pretty entertaining. Cu Chulain Caster played a huge part in this, which was happily unexpected.
The game seems to center mostly on the Servants, so I guess that explains why the main male protagonist is the most uninteresting character and Shielder, the main market piece of the game, is the most interesting character.
Taka, Yea First Order was only the introductory arc so it's smaller than the other arcs after it. The OVA did a good adaption of the Fuyuki chapter and only left out a few things.
Caster Cu is this strong since Scathach(his master and the main Lancer of Fate/Grand Order) thought him how to use the 18 Original Norse Runes which makes him a very potent magic user as most have seen in the OVA with him finishing Medusa Lancer Alter with a Fire Pillar and even using a lesser copied version of Scathach's OP Gate of Skye(which when used by Scathach it drains energy and life force and sucks the enemies into the Land of Shadows where they instantly die or get sealed). He is still a more potent fighter as a Lancer.
even after the last singularity and ending the story we(the main character) have not found her but she isn't exactly dead rather she is suppose a soul or something like that atm and was sent to another timeline which happens to be in the Melty Blood universe(another one of Nasu's works like Fate, Tsukihime, Mahou Tsukai and etc) or something like that. I myself am not sure if she can brought back or if she is going to die or what not
Oh so that's why Lancer is so OP. Didn't know Medusa was a different class. That explains her different movepool. I was like she finally lived up to her namesake, Medusa, as in the Fate/Stay Night she just gets a unicorn or something.
Taka , Yup Scathach is one of the top tier Servants in the series and is my favorite Lancer and Servant. She's thousands of years old, turned into a Semi Divine being after years of kill things like Wraiths to the likes of Gods and is a master to many Celtic heroes like Cu(he is her favorite student and their relationship was an extremely close one). She also likes a good fight and curses her lack of ability to die and wanted to fight and die in the arms of Cu is her desire, they have are close even though Scathach was hard on Cu when training she is proud of him. She's a pretty great character as well as one of the best designs imo.
Yea Medusa in F/SN has Pegasus because of their connection in the legends and it's only when her eyes are uncovered and she has Pegasus is she at her true power in her Rider form. Also unlike her sisters she is not "perfect" as in she doesn't have a extremely high divinity and she is not forever a loli like them, though in her normal Lancer form she is a loli because of her connection with Athena making her into some kind of Reaper and she is the most like her legends in her Avenger form where she is called Gorgon/Gorgon Medusa.
I saw this in the news. It's a 32 min long chibi video without subtitles
On New Year's, along with the broadcast of the Fate/Grand Order anime special, a major slate of Fate/ projects was announced or updated, including the part 1.5 of the mobile RPG, the Heaven's Feel movie trilogy, the EXTRA Last Encore TV anime, and Apocrypha TV anime. To introduce this all, they got the grudging help of Demon Archer/Oda Nobunaga (CV Rie Kugimiya), Sakura Saber/Souji Okita (CV Aoi Yuuki) and Rider/Medusa (Yū Asakawa), as depicted in the irreverent art of Keikenchi (GUDAGUDA, Koha-Ace).
I know it's pretty late. But, i found First Order to be somewhat mediocre. It has some cool scenes. But that's it. I know that this is only the 1st chapter and few things are left out, but i feel they could make it slightly better.
Anyway. Any further GO anime adaptation would be nice. But i'm calling it now, Septem will be dissapointing if they do adapt it lol.
I’m not sure if this warrants a new thread or not but Fate/Grand Order is getting two new installments in the form of anime adaptions. The first is a set of two film adaptations of the Sixth Singularity, Camelot. The second is an anime series depicting the events of the Seventh Singularity, Babylonia. Both are scheduled to release some time in 2019.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.

Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...

Dream: ...manipulation last week.
