I only watched the anime in its Holy Ten Commandments war. I'm missing a chunk of stuff especially evolution of relationships between characters.
Hendrickson and this angel are pretty close as example
(not sure why we had a group of guys urinating together)
The first major battle since Chapter 294 is Demon Lord possessing Meliodas and the gang winning the battle in freeing Meliodas. The series did an epilogue like Meliodas had to live in the demon world. Elizabeth decides to accompany Meliodas. King Barbatos wanted Meliodas to be king because no one else wants to be one.
Then out of nowhere, a rock almost crushes Elizabeth. Meliodas and the gang realizes the Demon Lord is still alive. Cusack wanted Zeldris to be the new Demon King but didn't know that infusing the Ten Commandments resurrected and allow possession of Zeldris's body.
I don't know what happened to Escanor. He doesn't seem to have Sunshine. He lend it Mael in the first Demon Lord fight because he believe Mael was the true owner. Then, Escanor changed his mind and decided to sacrifice himself despite Meliodas and the gang objecting to that time and time again. I didn't expect to see Escanor's backstory so late in the manga series. We only have a few chapters left.
Did they not give Escanor enough time to flesh his character out. Everyone else had done their backstory. Then, I realize it's one of those "death flag" backstories. Escanor's true love is Rosa. He doesn't love Merlin truely. No, he was projecting Rosa on her because she looks like her. (I did confuse male characters. I didn't know this manga series had a lot of same face syndrome.) Merlin kissing Escanor felt awkward as it served no purpose. Escanor loved Rosa whom he killed, presumably. Even later on, Merlin never loved him either.
We finished the 2nd Demon Lord fight, after freeing Zeldris who got to reunite with Gelda. I didn't know we had vampires in this manga series. How many races are there? I don't know much about Zeldris and Gelda.
I thought things were unwinding until this popped up. Another backstory this time featuring Merlin.
So far in my anime experience, Merlin hasn't had much screentime. She spent a lot of time with Meliodas. I could see it. For the manga, not much. While there aren't much details for why Merlin loves Meliodas, there wasn't much reason for Merlin to love Escanor either. Ban was Meliodas' right hand man while Merlin was the right hand woman. While Naruto gets flak for jumping the shark in bringing Kaguya, Naruto at least gets build up with the Zetsus and the whole who is controlling who, the element of Chaos felt totally out of nowhere with no buildup. Plus, there is no purpose of Chaos in adding to the lore compared to Kaguya whose mysterious race brought Chakra and that its race will still haunt the world of Boruto robbing of its peace. Seven Deadly Sins has no more looming conflict.
We had another battle dragged on. The fight with the big cat was short. Speaking of romance options for Merlin, they could have done it with Arthur. Merlin has been with Arthur in serving him. What hurts this battle is they attempted a plot twist villain. I don't remember Merlin's cat but they took a cartoony character and made it into a villain. Adding more to the random jump the shark twist.
Meliodas and the gang easily forgive Merlin. We don't see what the aftermath of Camelot in Ch. 346 \\
Did they ever explore the physiology of the races? I find it weird that Fairies reproduce through flowers yet Elaine got pregnant.
It's rare to see men decide on the name of their children. In my culture, it's usually women who gets the final say. I do wonder where Meliodas and Ban got the names from.
The mangaka was sick. I can't imagine the stress. I thank the mangaka for working hard. It was still an enjoyable series. I hope their health doesn't go bad especially if they were to pursue another series.

One shot manga is in the works for Ban/Elaine and Meliodas/Elizabeth's children.
The official website for Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced on Wednesday that Nakaba Suzuki will publish a one-shot manga for his Seven Deadly Sins manga in the magazine's combined 36th and 37th issue on August 5. The manga will follow [Spoilers, highlight to read.] Ban's son Ban Jr. Lancelot.
I've been done with the series for a long time but I have some questions that my friend and I were talking about today. They may not be definitively answered, and are a little nitpicky, but they're all about full counter. 1. How did 'Estarossa' learn full counter, especially considering he's not actually Estarossa. 2. If Chandler is the original user of full counter, can his block physical attacks, similarly to Estarossa? My thoughts are Chandler didn't teach him, so it was confusing to me in the long run, especially since it was only in faulty memory that he even was Estarossa.
