We conclude 2 matches. Megumi's match took 2 episodes while Aldini took half of an episode. Megumi lost which was a surprise. I didn't know judges take presentation into consideration. Though, the core ingredient is apple. You can make anything as long as apple is a big theme. We are not making sweets. I wasn't really convinced.
For Aldini, it was a mind game. The opponent made artichokes to sabotage or manipulate the judges' taste buds. Artichokes's Cyanaride or something makes the tongue's sweet receptors dull so it will magnify anything sweet. Aldini counter it with the tartness dressing. He had divided the pizza into two: the beef side sweet while the 4 types of cheese side really salty.
Is it me or the pizza look off in these shots?
I don't think Soma would lose in the next episode.
Sure enough, Soma wins against the samurai guy in the butter match. We get backstory on the samurai guy and a recap on Soma's declaration of war in season 1.
I need to recap the matches against Central. I don't remember much. What else to say? Also, getting a list of criteria that the judges make on tasting the food will help out. Megumi's round was weird from last episode about presentation.
Rindou gave me a Toriko vibe with her rare ingredients of beasts. I thought it was a sandwich she made. It's actually a potato salad from Peru. Her dish defeated Aldini's dish.
Oh yeah, the changes of judge. I think they did to increase the fan service ecchi factor. The two ladies advertise lingerie.
2nd half didn't conclude the match but build upon Cloud and his relationship with Kinokuni. He was brought up in a strict environment. No praise for his accomplishments. He wouldn't kept on cooking if it wasn't for her.
Cloud's dish had quite the aesthetics: it was a clear soup with rabbit meat. In the rabbit meat, it was miso which change the clear broth yellow.
This year's 11th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed the theme song artists on Monday for the fifth season of the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime. nano.RIPE (ending themes for Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime's second through fourth seasons) will perform the opening theme song "Last Chapter," and voice actress and singer Mai Fuchigami (Planet With, Outbreak Company) will perform the ending theme song "Crossing Road."
The anime, titled Shokugeki no Sōma: Gō no Sara (Strong Plate, a pun on "Go" meaning "five"), will premiere in April.
Taka: As for anime business, I'll work on the Spring 2020 anime stuff this weekend. I will finish up the Winter 2020 banners. My apologies. I thought I will out of work due to the virus outbreak. I'm glad I'm still working at the pharmacy

Dream: Looks like California and New York are now enforcing all non-essential workers to stay home, except for necessary needs and all public gatherings are banned, at least in New York. New York's are in effect Sunday.

Taka: 1 confirmed death in my hometown next to 19 confirmed cases. I heard the police are fining folks for not practicing social distancing on Facebook.
Mar 24, 2020 2:31:40 GMT
Dream: At least in New York right now, they're not enforcing it. But non-essential employers who aren't abiding by shutting down at this point will be fined and shut down at this point.
