Wow, lots of muscle! Seems our apron guy and chef had a lot of male bonding. Ample fan service for folks who loved muscular guys, and we get some obligatory hot spring scenes of the gals. I doubt female colleagues try to fondle each other in public baths.
There was a strong Soma and Megumi moment there. I hate to be a shipper fan. I like that moment.
YOOOOO The ending of the episode was so epic. Just the way he calmly said "Shokugeki" got me really hyped. Though, I'm pretty sure he's going to get beat handily. I think this might be my favorite show of the season. I feel like it started off with tons of fan service to get attention but then started of slowly get more and more serious. There hasn't been crazy amounts of boobs lately.
Also I really don't like that pink haired guy. Didn't even bother to remember his name. He deliberately set up his student to fail by placing bad ingredients into the tables. That doesn't do anything productive. He's just being a dick.
Magical Cabbage Girls! The frame rate dropped around the magical girl transformation time. It was great to see Megumi stand up for herself. I swear there was a ship moment there. That young girl sits like L of Death Note.
Soma and Shinomiya were pretty alike in their younger days. Got to see how Shinomiya became the man he was due to a bit of racism and folks changing his recipe, causing him to be obsessive about making food to the recipe.
Loved how each judge picture Megumi as a cute Yokai. Oh yes, when Megumi was thinking about staying at Totsuki, all the scenes had Soma in it.
Ep. 13: Did that snow white gal mess up Soma? I wonder she had something up her sleeve. We haven't seen any crazy Shonen powers in this show. It's been a regular cooking school show with fan service at the side.
Yeah, where would the fun be? Do you watch an anime series before reading manga? I had this habit of watching anime and not reading the manga. For the wiki, I usually read it side by side but never read ahead of the anime.
Taka: Hmm it depends, most of the time I read the manga and then watch the anime to see what changes they made in the anime adaptation. For example Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon I watched the anime first and saw that there was a manga and saw that the anime deviated from the manga but I really enjoyed the anime adaptation nonetheless.
I really enjoy the interactions between Soma and Erina. I hope that next episode he shows what his cooking is capable of. But I wonder what happened to him. He's usually full of confidence even when sabotaged. The white haired girl seems interesting IMO. Hopefully she's not bad. I liked her design.
Dream: Looks like a remake of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be airing in July. The original seiyuu from the 2000s series will reprise their roles for the remake and judging from the animation, looks like it will have more polish to it compared...

Taka: That's interesting to hear. Didn't know it was going to get a remake.

Dream: Guess I'm gonna focus on wrapping up Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken whenever it comes out today. Been one of my favorites for the season.

Taka: 1 confirmed death in my hometown next to 19 confirmed cases. I heard the police are fining folks for not practicing social distancing on Facebook.

Dream: At least in New York right now, they're not enforcing it. But non-essential employers who aren't abiding by shutting down at this point will be fined and shut down at this point.

Master Menos: Had some serious personal trouble go on, but now I'm through it. On-Topic, where I'm in, everything but the stores (and possibly the restaurants) are closed down.

Taka: They closed off beaches and parks along bike paths as well as extending K-12 school closure to mid May while colleges are cancelled for the semester.

CosmicNoirTear: Everything closed on my part. I live by a bunch of shopping centers. All of the are ghost towns. Hopefully means most people where I live are taking this seriously. Also got laid off from my job two weeks ago.

Dream: My county has 6 confirmed cases. Restaurants and bars have been on take-out or delivery only for about a couple weeks now since New York's the hardest hit state. Hasn't been too different for me any who since I've been out of work and tight on money...

Dream: ...to do anything outside of getting essentials and job hunting in recent months. Though with the state pretty much on lockdown, likely gonna have a rough time finding any employer to work with in-person for a while.

Taka: I think the only thing not closed for mass gathering other than essential services would be funerals in my area. The mayor and staff have been pretty busy in clarifying things in press releases. Edit: my mistake. Funerals are closed.

Dream: Gonna try whipping up a review for Dorohedoro at some point tomorrow. Find that I have quite a bit to cover with the series.
