Plot: Fifty years have passed since mankind began migrating to the new frontier: Mars. It's an age where most culture is produced by AI, and people are content to be passive consumers.
There's a girl. Scrapping a living in the metropolis of Alba City, she's working part time while trying to become a musician. She's always felt like something is missing. Her name is Carole.
There's a girl. Born to a wealthy family in the provincial town of Herschel City, she dreams of becoming a musician, but nobody around her understands. She feels like the loneliest person in the world. Her name is Tuesday.
A chance meeting brings them together. They want to sing. They want to make music. Together, they feel like they just might have a chance. The two of them may only create a tiny wave. But that wave will eventually grow into something larger...
Fuji TV announced at its +Ultra panel at Anime Expo on Saturday that the first half of the 24-episode Carole & Tuesday anime will play worldwide on Netflix on August 30.
The anime premiered on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block on April 10. The show also premiered on Netflix that same week in Japan only, with new episodes streaming on Thursdays on Netflix. The second half of the series will premiere in Japan on July 13 with new opening theme song "Polly Jean" by Nai Br.XX and Celeina Ann (the singing voices for Carole and Tuesday, respectively) and the new ending "Not Afraid" by Alisa (the singing voice for Angela).
On August 11, 2019, the live concert will be streamed on Youtube
Carole & Tuesday singers Nai Br.XX (Carole), Celeina Ann (Tuesday), and Alisa (Angela) will hold their first two official concerts at the Harajuku Quest Hall in Tokyo on August 11. "The Loneliest Girl" concert held that evening will be live-streamed on YouTube, which might be your only chance to watch the concert as tickets are already sold out.
Just watch the first half on Netflix and absolute love it, not going to read the thread just in case I get spoiled by the second half XD. The dub was great, and really love the american idol parody part of the show. Granted the main central characters were protected by plot armor, it reminded me of watching American Idol with my bro's. Also love how Angela songs written by AI sound like mass produce pop songs. Because honestly most pop songs do feel soulless and just made to make money and please the biggest demographic. Which to be fair I cannot blame them as again who does not like making money and that does not negate the singer ability. The more I look under the surface, the more I love this show and cannot wait for the second half.
Taka: You would be angsty too if someone wants to eat you. "Devour Casshern Sins" repeatedly (in the dub version. Not sure if the sub version is annoying)

Dream: Ho, ho. Now we're getting good stuff. And I was starting to think this season was gonna be underwhelming at first.

Dream: And with Casshern Sins, yeah it has the same meaning in the Japanese version. It's believed by the robots in Casshern Sins that consuming Casshern will give the lucky robot immortality, like he has after offing Luna.

Taka: I'll be available on Sunday. Got to help out with the Pumpkin Patch in preparation on the last week.

Taka: Whoo-hoo, you are the connoisseur of anime! I guess maybe 10% of them were really good and 25% were painful.

Raven Crow: Well, its not a waste if you enjoyed it, unless there were some bad ones lol

Dream: Enjoyed a good number of titles. Suffered through a number of titles. Indifferent to others. Would say I've gotten a good mix of both over the years.

Eva01 (AKA Pistolero): The average human lifespan is 79 years. You watched 2000 series. The average anime is 24-26 episodes long, let's say 25. The average episode is 24 minutes. 24*25*2000 = 1200000 minutes = 2.3 years. Of course, this doesn't account for longer series, but yea
Oct 15, 2019 16:30:14 GMT
Eva01 (AKA Pistolero): So in total, you spent 3% of your life watching anime. That's not much, really.
Oct 15, 2019 16:30:50 GMT
Eva01 (AKA Pistolero): I would've been worried if it was like 10% or something lol
Oct 15, 2019 16:31:27 GMT
Eva01 (AKA Pistolero): Oh wait, they actually have the number of episodes you watched on your profile
Oct 15, 2019 16:33:09 GMT
Eva01 (AKA Pistolero): So you spent 1.5% of your life watching anime, that's nothing.

Dream: To be honest, highly doubt I'm hitting 3000 completed titles. At the point now where I've seen mostly anything that could be milked for an anime, especially when milking popular genres and storytelling tropes.

Dream: Anyone else here have a streaming subscription to Funi? Seems their site server's been having on and off hiccups the past few days.

Taka: Don't have that issue on my end. edit: I need to catch up on news. Weird one I saw a few days ago was Crunchyroll and Webtoons making animated content?
