1 & 2 were good. Its got a great animation an stylish characture style thats more detailed than Sould eater but puts me in mind of it. Has like a childrens fairy tale aspect to the story an plot pacing seems good.
detailing the rankings of the whistles for the adventurers
and the symptoms of the curse of the abyss by layers
Riko gets a message from her mom who is waiting at the the bottom of the abyss
Riko's eyes appears to be bad vision from the curse. She was born on the 4th layer. Her father died on this expedition. Only one person and her mother struggled to get her baby up to the surface. Only to get the Relic Bell on the 2nd trip down.
Reg decides to go with Riko to find out who he is after seeing Riko's mother's letters of a humanoid robot
Nat who was against Riko out of safety concerns help Riko and Reg sneak into the abyss from the slums
The gang make their way to the first layer. Habo catches up to them because Siggy and the others wanted him to help them to get to the 2nd layer but Riko insists on doing it herself because to prove herself as well as the teacher who left a note, knowing they left. He would catch them. Before they leave, Habo warns them to be wary of Ozen at the Seeker Camp
We come across a grisly scene (the anime is innocent as I thought in episode 1 but there were some darkness) and this came in as one of the beasts in the 2nd layer, corpse weaver
Knew the it was a trap based on how the voice kept changing between girl and guy and sounds warped.
At the end, we meet Ozen
This has been my one of best Summer 2017 anime and it's easy to recommend since it is not too ecchi and seems fun for children and adults.
features more of the Seeker Camp and a glimpse of Ozen and the young boy whom me and Regis mistake as a girl
If you want more of Ozen, her backstory is in this episode. Despite her brutal tactics to test Regis and taunt Riko about her being still born and animated from the cube and her mother dead (though, she reveals that the grave was empty)
These last 2 episodes have been fun. They are good at cliffhangers
We finally get to see Riko's mother's face and more of Ozen's backstory. Despite her fearsome and brutal manners, she's the nicest person even though she doesn't want to show it. She deeply care for Lyza enough to warn Riko and Reg about the other White Whistles and stuff about the Abyss
Thought Lyza's husband would be rugged and burly. He's quite skinny and forgettable looking. Ozen's facial expression at Lyza getting hitched was amazing
The kids did finish their 10 day training in the woods. It was rushed but it was good since we just need to focus on character relationships particularly Ozen and the young maid boy, Marluk or something. Marluk was deeply sad to see Riko and Reg go.
The 13th episode, the final episode, will be a one hour special
Staff and Cast are attending a talk host event for the advanced screening in Tokyo on Sept. 24
The official Twitter account for the Made in Abyss television anime series announced on Saturday that the show's 13th and final episode will be a one-hour special. The staff will also host an advanced screening of the final episode on September 24 in Tokyo. Staff and cast will be in attendance at the screening and will host a talk show.
The anime's ninth episode aired on August 31.
The show premiered in Japan on July 7, and is streaming in the United States on Amazon's Anime Strike service. HIDIVE is streaming the series outside of the United States.
The fault, the third layer, got covered in one episode since it was just a vertical steep zone with holes in the walls filled with rabbit like creatures. The sky is full of dangerous flying monsters that eat these rabbits
The inside of the burrow walls aren't safe either, Riko who was with a sleeping Reg who had to use his incinerator, somehow forgot and fell into a giant pitcher plant like animal with scent of fruits that both she and rabbits could eat
The episode was pretty good, pacing wasn't bad. You got both of Riko and Reg's struggle equally. Riko was protecting Reg while Reg was protecting Riko
Just caught up with the serious. Is alright. While I guess every aspect of it is great, there nothing that really stands out. Is just a well-executed adventure fantasy anime that thank god not related to a video game or generic mc. While again nothing amazing is still a good watch.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
Feb 11, 2020 2:11:38 GMT
Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...
Feb 20, 2020 13:42:15 GMT
Dream: ...manipulation last week.
