I tried cropping from the FUNimation one but the logo placement on the FUNimation is not ideal when converting to our banners which is smaller. FUNimation banner is good for large images. With small images, we need to have everything align on the same level
I did find a larger blank version of the same image that allow me to crop it and paste a new logo

8 was good. Kinda think his new sorcerer scientist friend resembles his muscle bound friend tho. The food angle was neat but the bellows part of smithing seemed odd. Making smaller hand held ones when one or two big ones would have worked. Story hook maybe or maybe could not make the big ones.
"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing." — Robert E. Howard, The Tower of the Elephant (1933)
We have a new character in our ramen first half of the episode. I already forgot his name. He's a shady guy at first but I think he will stay with Senku instead of Tsukasa since his demands are pretty otaku wish fulfillment.
Didn't expect Senku to make a light bulb. It took a lot of effort to make iron and then a lightning storm came by coincidentally to help them transform the iron into magnet.
I didn't know anything about the edison plant bulb or whatever. Crazy is how bright it shines.
They did a good job of copping me out. I thought the trickster was dead. He was severely injured with fake blood. In the end, he is on Senku's side because Senku will make him cola. The arc takes a turn after Senku's invention segment of hopefully getting the masses to support him due to Kohaku need to find someone to beat a bad guy. In their village which makes sense for the time, the passing of strong genes. The one who wins the tournament gets to marry Ruri. Kohaku is the strongest person in the village but it doesn't count
Chrome gets a backstory. Hopefully, he gets some action because he's underdeveloped.
I feel the show might run into problems because the village doesn't trust Senku yet. The marriage problems with Ruri just adds more unneeded distraction.
We talked about the science behind sulfuric acid and the dangers of obtaining it without modern equipment as it's in a lake that bubbles Sulfur Dioxide that smelts minerals I believe.
The key takeaway I enjoyed was how knowledge doesn't die but gets passed on. Senku didn't want to sacrifice Chrome while Chrome didn't want to lose Senku. We get character development for Gin who overcame his fear.
Of course, everyone is scared. Nothing is wrong with it.
It was an exciting episode. Despite shortcomings, the science gang prevail. Though, I'm not as invested in Chrome and Ruri's relationship. We see how the anime portrays it.
Learned the difference between convex and concave. Glasses are concave with the lens going inwards so it cannot focus the sun to make something burn. Chrome's sweat made it possible to make it a convex temporarily.
I found out later on that eye glasses can be both convex or concave
Light rays are refracted as they pass through translucent objects (objects like windows that you can see through). Light is refracted when it passes through a new medium at an angle. Just as convex and concave mirrors produce different images, concave and convex lenses also produce different images than we would normally see. A concave lens is thicker at the edges than in the middle. It spreads light rays apart producing an image smaller than the actual object. Nearsighted people (people who see close objects fine but distant objects appear blurry) have concave lenses in their glasses to correct their vision. A convex lens is thinner at the edges and thicker towards the center. Convex lenses are bent towards a central point. Like a concave mirror, when a convex lens is held close to your eyes, it will produce an upright image. If it is held away from your eyes it will produce an upside-down image. Farsighted people (people who can see distant objects with no problem but objects very close to them appear blurry) use convex lenses in their eyeglasses. Convex lenses can produce images much larger than the actual object. A magnifying glass is an example of a convex lens.
I do like how he addresses the limits of sulfa drug especially antibiotics cannot cure viruses. He didn't say that part. He just said a certain disease (didn't catch the name) would be bad.
They got lucky that it was the disease that was treatable.
There was one scene that could be mistook as fanservice and looks awkward when Senku pours the medicine to Ruri's mouth for the first time. My mind wasn't in the gutter. It was an accidental shot that can be seen in a sexual manner.

Old Man Dream: Been wanting an anime remake for Tsukihime for a while, provided it gets Ufotable at the helm of animating it. Like Fate, but the horse for it's getting squeezed dry enough, especially with its many spinoffs.
