I forgot Senku had a father. Turns out he was in space with his crew during the time the Earth was petrified. For some reason, I don't look forward to this arc because we have a small group of adults who are the only ones on Earth not petrified. This village is probably descended from that group.
This is the end of Senku's father's flashback arc. Thought it would be longer. I thought all 6 people would make a couple (one's already a married couple and we have 2 men and women). We did get a new couple but that ended with them succumbing, the wife dying first before the husband dying later. We never heard from the couple who left the island to get antibiotics for the wife.
The singer girl and Senku's father never married or had kids. They took care of 4 kids. I didn't know the deceased couple had kids.
It's still a very narrow gene pool when all 4 kids intermarry.
How Senku's father's story manage to get passed down orally without any alterations is pretty incredible.
We go in the kingdom of might perspective through Hyoga. We introduced the new character, Homura, the right hand woman of Hyoga. We had deaths of minor characters due to Hyoga pushing them down to test whether there were sulfuric gas.
Senku's latest ambitions making cellphone is way more ridiculous and less realistic compared to past inventions where I can see the process and agree it was plausible for them to create given their materials. The convenient thunderstorm for the making magnets was plot convenient.
We did light bulbs to transition to vacuum tubes which you see on circuit boards. These are important for cell phones and anything electronic. A lot of time passed in this episode, 2 months.
Most episodes in Dr. Stone has been jammed pack with content.
We made more gears. I never seen a rectangular gear before. The village is preparing for winter. Coincidences are a frequent thing in this anime. They had their light bulbs on a tree just in time for Christmas.
It was supposed to be a special episode as the gang threw a surprise birthday gift, a telescope, for Senku. Yet, it wasn't really a Senku focused episode. It was another run of the mill Dr. Stone episode with the muscle guy getting redemption/trust with Chrome in the first half.
Science lesson of the week - we learn how Tungsten and other metals are formed and a lot of rocks in a brief and quick otaku rock frenzy scene.
Dream: Looks like a remake of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be airing in July. The original seiyuu from the 2000s series will reprise their roles for the remake and judging from the animation, looks like it will have more polish to it compared...

Taka: 1 confirmed death in my hometown next to 19 confirmed cases. I heard the police are fining folks for not practicing social distancing on Facebook.

Dream: At least in New York right now, they're not enforcing it. But non-essential employers who aren't abiding by shutting down at this point will be fined and shut down at this point.

Master Menos: Had some serious personal trouble go on, but now I'm through it. On-Topic, where I'm in, everything but the stores (and possibly the restaurants) are closed down.

CosmicNoirTear: Everything closed on my part. I live by a bunch of shopping centers. All of the are ghost towns. Hopefully means most people where I live are taking this seriously. Also got laid off from my job two weeks ago.

Dream: My county has 6 confirmed cases. Restaurants and bars have been on take-out or delivery only for about a couple weeks now since New York's the hardest hit state. Hasn't been too different for me any who since I've been out of work and tight on money...

Taka: I think the only thing not closed for mass gathering other than essential services would be funerals in my area. The mayor and staff have been pretty busy in clarifying things in press releases. Edit: my mistake. Funerals are closed.

Dream: Gonna try whipping up a review for Dorohedoro at some point tomorrow. Find that I have quite a bit to cover with the series.
