Due to ProBoards policies, have a new rule that is gonna have to be enforced with images moving forward. While we were lax with sexual images on the old forum so long as there was no outright nudity shown, we're gonna have to change that to keep things PG-13 here. Any images featuring characters exposing anything pushing close to outright nudity (like extremely revealing clothing), implications of graphic sexual activity and breast/ crotch fondling will be removed from posts.
Apologies for having to amend this rule for those who organized the Ecchi and Hentai clubs. But enforcing this rule beats this site being pulled for violating enforced rules from Proboards.
I should add this. Similar to the old site where you had 15 post limit and you can only post 5 posts a day which is a safeguard against spam bots.
We have a 10 post limit before you make your own thread for new users. You can post 10 comments in just one day. It's easy. Most new users won't notice this since it's easy to breeze by without you even noticing it.
Important Update For Those Who Are Joining the Site and Want to Comment in the Battle Section:
Added a new posting for Minimum Posting Requirements for new users to the rules list meant to curb some of the recent issues we've had with banned users creating multiple accounts to continue posting in here despite their bans. Realize this is somewhat of an inconvenience for new users who legitimately wish to come in here to debate. But we needed some way to circumvent banned users who keep popping up in here to continue stirring up trouble:
Minimum Posting Requirements For new users who just set up accounts for this site, this forum is set up as such where you will not be able to create threads or post anything in here until you make at least 15 posts from other forums on this site. This is meant to circumvent any troublemakers abusing multiple accounts to continue getting around any bans made on prior accounts they made on here for misbehavior, which was a past issue we have dealt with as things can often get chaotic in here. While the Battle Forum does get the most attention on this site, there's more to Anime Vice than just debating on anime/ manga character match-ups and you can think of this setup as an opportunity for you to scope out other parts of the site before you sink your teeth into debating in here. However, normal site rules do apply on all site forums, so do not think of spamming multiple posts as a means of "earning" your privilege to post in here as you will be disciplined by any of the site staff members if we find out that you are doing so.

Important update regarding the "Staff" Button when replying in forum threads: For those wondering or are new to the site, the reply system's "Staff" button tags all active staff members, including site owner Yusuke. In forum threads, that button is ONLY to be used in case of any serious events that went on (threads that were getting extremely heated, clearly violating the site rules above and/or getting seriously out of hand). The button is NOT to be abused, used for image requests (with the exception of opening posts for battle threads that were used from the mobile site) and/or asking for simple feedback on a topic. Those that do abuse the "Staff" button will be verbally noted only once and if said abuse continues, then warnings and disciplinary action WILL be given.
In the case that you want to ask the staff on how the site works (Example: Asking how to insert a picture, a video or spoiler tags to a post), you are fully encouraged to Private Message all the active staff members instead of using the "Staff" button.

Added Sonata's proposal for those who have 50% or more on their warning level:
The Vice Community Service Program is for users who have a warning level over 50%. It is an option for the user in question, so it is up to them. If they want to join the program they will have to participate in other parts of the forum outside of the battle forums. So basically gen. Discussion, anime/manga, wikia page. Once the user agrees to it, and has shown compliance they can lose 5% of their warning daily till 50%. At that point they can lose up to 10% daily. However the user in question must participate everyday in the other threads. They cant just sign up and post one day and disappear. If they refuse then they can lose 5% a week till they get to 50% then lose 10% a week at that point.
Should you misbehave during this time, your privileges will be revoked. You have to wait much longer for your level to lower.
Was working on the spotlight. Had to save and re-edit to fill out anything we did. I was trying to recall any site rules we had discussed. We didn't make a new rule in July 2017 but we had discussions on the community service component.
Notes on the above post regarding community service - it's not in the works as we needed to revise it. There were some issues we had in regards to users who are in quarantine such as getting them to do it and also, us trying to monitor it especially in the Wikia.
For those who are in quarantine, you just have to talk to us. We will treat your case on a case by case basis based on your history in the community. Your warning levels should decrease slowly each month or so depending on your severity of your warnings.
