Plot: A stout, weak, yet highly passionate Sora Kurumatani enters Kuzuryuu High School with hopes that he'll fulfill his mother's wishes to dominate his first high school tournament. However, the basketball club—turned den for delinquents—does anything but play basketball! Its club members, Momoharu Hanazono, a skilled blocker who can do power jumps but is horrible at shooting, and his twin brother Chiaki, a talented point guard, has also lost interest in the sport. With just one game overwhelmed with adrenaline rush and excitement, and Sora's pure love for the game, the youth's burning out spirit for basketball rekindles.

What an unusual start to a sports show. With most sports show, it's either competitive or not. We start with our short protagonist getting beat up. He has shoes from his dead mom whom I presumed died from cancer or some disease. The afro guy is lazy and perverted. There is a peep hole in the boys basketball room where the basketball girls change.
They ended the episode on a cliffhanger. We get some jargon with fake and duck but he didn't do them. I did wonder if basketball is the sports with the most rules.
The ending theme song's animation is kind of boring with the protagonist just playing his phone while afro guy speaks with a female character whom I presume is the manager.
The short protagonist won. We go into the yakuza's backstory particularly the blonde one who loved basketball before as he's reminded how the short protagonist practiced non stop, 1,000 shoots to over compensate for his lack of height.
Also, the afro guy using a pole to steal bras was an excuse to test the protagonist's depth perception.
There is some issue between the mangaka over the anime adaptation. It's not really explained well.
Takeshi Hinata, creator of the basketball-themed manga Ahiru no Sora, recently tweeted negative thoughts about the artistic liberties taken by the television anime. On Friday, he quote-tweeted a tweet by the anime's official PR account and commented: "You're the worst." (The anime's official account has since deleted the tweet in question.) He then screencapped the now deleted tweet and tweeted: "If you're going to run away, then don't do it in the first place."
