Ascendance of a Bookworm
Aliases: Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen Studio: Ajia-Do Adaptation: Light Novel Genres: Fantasy, Slice of Life Episodes: 14 Release Date: October 3, 2019 Streaming: Crunchyroll,
Plot: When she woke up, she was in a parallel world... Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Myne, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, a town that existed in a parallel world and had a harsh class system where the magic-wielding nobles ruled supreme. But Myne doesn't really let that get to her. After all, as long as she had books, she didn't really need anything else. However, this world had a very low literacy rate and no real way of printing books, so books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. They were completely out of reach for the daughter of some poor soldier. But that doesn't stop Myne from wanting to read books, so she makes a decision... "If there aren't any books, I'll just create some." Myne might not have energy or money, but she has an endless amount of knowledge from all the books she read in her previous life. Will Myne actually be able to make some books? Myne's adventure to create books starts now.
Crunchyroll began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the second part of the television anime of Miya Kazuki's "biblia fantasy" novel Ascendance of a Bookworm (Honzuki no Gekokujō - Shisho ni Naru Tame niwa Shudan o Erandeiramasen) on Thursday. The trailer reveals and previews the anime's opening theme song "Tsumujikaze" (Commotion) by Sumire Morohoshi, and also reveals new cast members. Crunchyroll also revealed that it plans to release an English dub for the second part.
Dreams changed. Lutz was enamored back then that he and Main will open their own bookstore. Main changed things because of her Devouring. Once the Church found out she had it, things got dicey. Her parents and Bennio were against her joining the Church because the Church mostly had orphans working for them for free. Yeah, it was children of nobility or poor who were cast aside by their parents.
Main tapped into her power once the old man refused to negotiate with Main and her parents and decided to use force and threaten to kill her parents.
Things resolved with the blue haired man accepting Main's 3 points in her deal.
Info on the Crunchyroll broadcast along with the dub:

Dream: It looks like reported coronavirus cases in Japan have stayed fairly stable since the country's state of emergency was lifted. Unless there's a major spike in cases, don't think we have to worry about production delays for this season.

Dream: Currently on the third and last volume to the True Tenchi Muyo light novels, Washu. Got about 40-50 pages left to read of it before I'd say I'm done.

Taka: Virtual anime conventions - this year has been taking twists and turns. People are making adjustments. I think I spend over 100 dollars every time I go to Anime Expo each year (counting in total of badge cost, food, transportation, and merchandise).

Taka: I'll be saving money. Though, the pandemic has caused a lot of folks to have reduced hours, took time off, or laid off. Most folks' disposable income is a bit tight.

Taka: So Tenchi Geminar has a school full of mostly girls just like Infinite Stratos and many harem shows.
Jul 8, 2020 6:50:40 GMT
Dream: Yeah. After Tenchi Muyo, Masaki Kajishima dabbled into several other harem titles, some of which not being based in the Tenchi timeline, which all have the same resolution of where the male lead "has them all." But they aren't really as popular.

Taka: I need to finish Geminar and GXP. Just cancel FUNimation which leaves me until July 23rd unless there are at least 3 shows that catch my eye from this season.
