Please read this glossary before reading any other Apotheosis threads as it will better explain the terminology, complex energy systems and tiering systems displayed in the series.
Cultivator - an individual who trains their Genuine Energy
Martial Artist - an individual who trains their Gang and or Physical body
Laws (Rules) - the Laws (Rules) are the fundamental elements of the world and aspects of reality. Practitioners of Laws gain varying levels of control over that corresponding element or aspect of reality. So far, the following Laws have been shown:
Only 3 levels of Law have been shown within the series so far. Mastering each level gives a practitioner greater control over that particular Law.
Abulation of Law - an extremely rare event in which a practitioner is blessing with an understanding of all Laws allowing them to easily master any Law they encounter. Luo Zheng is the only known individual to receive this blessing
Runes - Using a special brush and various rare ingredients an individual can create runes to serve a variety of purposes. From defensive arrays to healing, rune masters are a highly sought after and often worshiped profession.
Godlines - The unique language of the Genuine Dragons. They function similar to Runes but are several magnitude more powerful and difficult to master.
In Apotheosis, there are 4 different energy systems.
1) Genuine Energy Genuine Energy is the innate energy used by cultivators to power a majority of their techniques and skills. This can allow a cultivator to fly, project their energy, scan their surrounds, and even create a barrier to protect themselves from harm.
Genuine Energy can be quickly recovered by absorbing power from Genuine Energy Stones or through the use of Runes/Godlines
2) Gang Energy Gang Energy is literally the Body's energy. This is different from physical energy in that, a cultivator can have a high amount of Gang energy but still have a physically weak body after their Gang energy runs out. Unlike Genuine energy, Gang energy is good for large sudden bursts of powers rather than long drawn out battles.
Gang Energy has its own unique structure requiring a martial artist to unlock their acupuncture points before they can access their Gang Energy. Technique build around the Gang Energy system tend to have more explosion power then Genuine Energy but typically cannot be used multiple times unless the martial artist has a large reserve of Gang Energy like the Demon race or Luo Zheng.
Unlike Genuine Energy, Gang Energy cannot be quickly recovered. Once exhausted, a martial artist must wait for their Gang energy to nature recover over time.
3) Spiritual Energy Perhaps the rarest energy form seen in series to date. Spiritual energy is used to fuel spiritual attacks and create Runes/Godlines. The strength of one's spirit determines the amount of Spiritual energy an individual has. The higher the individual has advanced in the Soul Stage, the stronger their spirit will become. Some spiritual attack are so powerful they can completely destroy the soul of other beings.
4) Physical Energy The easier system to explain. A cultivator's physical energy is merely the strength of their physical body. The stronger they are physically, the more power they can exert in combination with the other energy systems.
Before a cultivator can begin to build their Genuine (innate) energy, they must first build their physical body. Each refinement layer builds on the previous layers as it prepare the body to form an innate soul thus unlocking their ability to use Genuine Energy.
Dream: Last anime I will be covering is Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. Will start watching it tomorrow. Not sure how much longer I can keep myself up at this point.

Taka: Depending on my energy, I can watched up to 2 AM. Usually with work, I fall asleep on anime series that don't have a lot of action.

Master Menos: Finally got out of the fast food job. It was a graceful exit, but to be honest, I'll miss some of those guys. Got a sprained ankle from it since September, so I'll finally focus on healing that back at the family home.

HungryWorld: Well if anyone remembers what happened to Pingu in the City, with it being joke 10/10 scored on MAL just to get it into the top 10 anime... well now is Ishuzoku Reviewers' turn. Seems that in response to Funimation's cancel people boosted the score hard.
Feb 11, 2020 2:11:38 GMT
Taka: What? That sounds so weird.
Feb 11, 2020 5:36:23 GMT
Master Menos: It's damn awesome to be honest. It shot to 1st Place!

Dream: On the subject of MAL, it looks like the admin are planning to tweak their scoring system for titles to reduce the likelihood of voters artificially inflating the ranking of certain titles.

Master Menos: My V-Day present will be belated this year because I "Had some trouble with ol' Johnny." (That's your hint.)
Feb 15, 2020 4:17:13 GMT
Dream: The joys of adulthood. Joking aside, plan to at least attempt to wrap up Gankutsuou sometime early to mid next week so I can get done with my Funi voted titles. Afterward, not doing any more voting for a while considering how long this had been taking.

Dream: Done with Gankutsuou. Will be working to get a review up for it by sometime tonight.
Feb 16, 2020 20:57:26 GMT
Taka: Great job, Dream! I should do some reviews, too.
Feb 17, 2020 5:24:39 GMT
Dream: Looks like MAL's currently down due to the site getting hit by a major denial-of-service attack, just as a heads up.
Feb 18, 2020 17:55:23 GMT
Taka: I added 2 polls tonight. Also, I wonder why MAL was down. Crunchyroll also had it, too.
Feb 20, 2020 4:05:24 GMT
Dream: Not sure about Crunchyroll. For MAL, the DoS attacks may have been retaliation by those who dabbled into manipulating the site's scoring system for certain anime titles. The admin on MAL announced they would be overhauling the system to prevent said...

Dream: ...manipulation last week.
