Jesus Christ, there are a lot to catch up in comments.
I gave this show a try. Didn't expect too much. I got hooked in after episode 1. The protagonist is a tsundere and hates animals. I noticed most of the girls are human looking with animal features like ears and tails while the males are mostly beast looking with no human faces.
It feels more Aho Girl than BEASTARS. The cooking club has only one guy and all girls. It's not a harem. The Panda that came in added more of that vibe since you have the human girl, Ranka who causes misunderstandings with her custom of licking her packmates on the mouth.
I haven't done commentary on episode by episode postings. There was something weird. I don't know if they ever explain or show how it happened. Not only Jin has a lot of female love interests. He has a male Giraffe after him. We saw him twice.
The latest episode had 2 stories running concurrently, at the same time.
The red haired human girl (or might be a relative of humans, a caveman, neanderthal?) joins the cooking club. Turns out she's part of the extinction club who wants revenge on humans. Why though? We only see 2 humans so far.
This new human girl has a thing for Hitomi, groping her breasts and stuff for no reason.
Meanwhile Jin and pink wolf are stuck because pink wolf is in heat. Every animal wants to mate with her.
This show is just over the top sometimes. Jin and her did eventually run into the new human girl who causes pink wolf to believe Jin hates her. Things conveniently resolve. Jin is just a big tsundere.
Not sure how they are going to end the anime on an open note for folks who want a 2nd season, be it anime only fans or fans who read the manga.
I wasn't sure what the goal was because the pink wolf girl wanted a pack. She hasn't been pushing it. There wasn't much overarching plot conflict. Most of the conflict are solved in its own episode. This one had a few episodes where Hitomi and Jin were targets. Hitomi got kidnapped while Jin talked his way out with some classmates helping out.
Dream: That seems to be a thing a number of schools are thinking of to get around coronavirus being an issue, as my school is planning to hold their graduation ceremony at a local drive-in theater as well next month.

Taka: That's pretty neat. I was wondering how will they change up graduation. edit: Thanks Yusuke. The banners for Winter 2020 are up! My apologies for the wait.

Taka: Found out my city is only doing virtual with the City Council tackling their respective schools. The Mayor will begin the ceremony.

Dream: For anyone not so interested in old-school anime, I plan to have a voting sometime next month where you can choose one of ten anime that have aired this year thus far for me to watch and review. Might be a little tricky for me to figure out Spring...

Dream: ...anime considering many titles have gotten postponed this season due to the pandemic. But still plan to run this in some sort of format next month.

Taka: I was going to review stuff but I'm working on something else right now.

Dream: I typically do mid-year reviews for current anime I don't actively follow anywho. Been doing it the past few years on here.

Taka: I wish I can be consistent in reviews. For the movie I watched this month because of the pandemic, I'm having some trouble in writing them.

Taka: For those in the USA, I hope everyone is doing good for Memorial Day weekend. I was about to say Happy Memorial Day Weekend but I realize that might be culturally awkward.

Dream: Far as Banana Fish goes, must admit it feels like a mess. There are story elements in it that are great and have their potential when focused on. On the other hand, also has some major issues that hinder it as a whole to a good degree.

Dream: Still, have 5 episodes left to dabble into with it.

Taka: I haven't finished Banana Fish. I need to go back. I was on the episode where the two young lads met and blond boy kissed him hello.

Dream: Sounds like one of the earlier episodes where Ash got himself into prison.

Dream: Watching Sea Prince and the Fire Child for the first Retro Crush anime. Got about 20 minutes left to see of it. See what I can whip up for a review afterward depending on weather, as I have storms coming my way later.
