The dōjin circle and production company C2 Kikan posted its New Year's greeting on Sunday, and said that it, the anime studio ENGI, and the publisher Kadokawa are steadily making headway on the production of the new KanColle anime project, one step at a time. C2 Kikan added that Kadokawa told the circle that the new KanColle anime would air in 2022.

The live-streamed "Tokyo Mew Mew New Anime News & Cast Unit Unveiling Online Event '1st MEW▽ting'" announced on Monday the main staff and 2022 broadcast premiere for Tokyo Mew Mew New, the all-new anime of Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi's Tokyo Mew Mew manga. Takahiro Natori (Aria the Crepuscolo, Cannon Busters) is directing the anime at Yumeta Company and Graphinica, and Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Bungaku Shōjo, Neo Angelique Abyss) is in charge of the series scripts. Satoshi Ishino (Date A Live, No. 6) is designing the characters, and Toshiki Kameyama is directing the sound.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.
